Overview
By registering for the Scan New England Forums you hereby agree to the following guidelines. The guidelines
are few and simple, but their violation may be met with limited access
and/or outright banning from the Scan New England website. It is the
intention of the owner and moderators of Scan New England to provide a
trouble free environment for radio hobbyists from the novice to
advanced levels to exchange hobby information pertinent to the New
England area.
Registration
Your
registration will consist of picking a username and temporary password
for SNE Forum access. Registration is not
automatic and each application is individually reviewed by the SNE
Owner/Webmaster. You must provide a current and valid e-mail address.
The form must be completed in its entirety or it will not be submitted
for review and you will receive an error message.
Blanket Policy
By
registering at the Scan New England Forums you agree not to
post anything of an obscene or demeaning nature. This includes but is
not limited to pornography of any type or links to pornographic
websites or materials, or any information or statements that are
demeaning or defamatory to any sex, race, creed, color, or religion.
You
will not spam the website. You will not post copyrighted material at
the website. When/if providing information from news stories you will
provide a link to the news article only and never copy the material
verbatim. When using data with permission from another source you will
acknowledge the source in your post or page editing. Conversely if you
use Scan New England data at another website you agree to list Scan New
England as the source of the information. Violation of these
simple terms will result in immediate and permanent banning from all
parts of the Scan New England website.
Scan New England Forum - Basic Guideline Agreement
By
registering for SNE Forum access you agree to conduct yourself in a
responsible manner and to carefully consider the material in and the
wording of your post. Starting or contributing to "flame wars" is
expressly prohibited. There will be no posting of any
activities that may compromise the security and well being of public
safety personnel, such
as the frequencies or talkgroups involved in a covert and/or
surveillance activity.
New users are encouraged to ask questions but also to search the
website and other resources for data as well. Registered users of the
SNE forum are required to provide positive input to new or advanced
hobbyists and
not to berate or insult them for asking basic questions. We are here to
foster a positive learning environment for "newbies" and experienced
hobbyists alike. Violations will
result in banning from the ability to post messages in the SNE Forums.
The bottom line? Exercise common sense and all will be well. By
registering for the forums you are basically agreeing to do just that.
Disclaimer
Any
material you post and/or otherwise contribute becomes the property of Scan New England. E-mail information
that you provide SNE will never be purposely shared with third party

posted in public areas of the website. It is suggested that you use something like "joe at yahoo dot
com" instead of posting "joe@yahoo.com" if you must publicly list an
e-mail address.
Information posted at Scan New England is intended for
hobbyist purposes only. SNE is not to be considered an official or
professional platform for the obtaining of and use of frequency data. Scan
