Re: SDS 200

Hello, The front port on the SDS-200 is for programing, like the Mini-USB on the SDS-100. The rear port likely has the same function as the Micro-USB on the SDS-100. https://forums.radioreference.com/threads/mystery-of-the-usb1-port-by-franklin-w-dixon.372168/ Uniden uses a simple 3.3 volt non-RS232...

Re: Barnstable Schools Unlicensed Operation

Hello, And who knows what they were using before the XPR-8400. It could be an instance of Barnstable High School still using the frequency after the license expired and having the repeater replaced at some point. I had a discussion at breakfast about how easy it is for the person responsible for FCC...

Re: MBTA PD UHF signal issues?

Hello, Back in the early days of activity on the EDACS system, Transit PD Channel 1 was linked to a talkgroup like the various subway UHF frequencies. It also appeared like some of the radios were actually on the system. At some point it changed, because the only thing I heard last year was simulcas...

Hazmat incident in Lynn

Hello,

I do not have much information. It appears Lynn Police, Lynn Fire, and Emergency Management are working a Hazmat Incident in the area of Central Ave in Lynn. It appears to be a big gasoline leak that may be coming from a gas station.

Hello,

I heard what sounded like exercise traffic on SOPS-5 on the Analog trunk earlier this morning. There was also some brief related traffic on SOPS-1.

Re: Lowe's Clearance - $30 Antenna Rotator!

Hello,

Interesting that Quincy has it at 128.00, but Brockton is still at $30. Several people have noticed that it shows the regular price if the store does not have any stock.

Lowe's Clearance - $30 Antenna Rotator!

Hello,

Normally $120, now $30 on clearance. I picked up all four that the Danvers, MA Lowes had. I see there is currently four in Quincy and four in Brockton.

Hello,

I also see a HobbyTown listed off of I-93 Exit 4 at the Apple Tree Mall in Londonderry, NH. It is on the opposite side of the highway from the former Rivendell Ham Store.

Re: Uniden SDS100 $549.99 with coupon (06-06-2018 only)

Hello,

The seller ran into a problem with Uniden and had to raise his price by $100. This is due to the $549.99 price being below the MAP, even though it is eBay's coupon and not the vendors.

May 9, 2018 70cm opening after Midnight

Hello, There seems to be some nighttime conditions occurring a couple of times this past week. Tonight a ham friend of mine noticed the W2MR Repeater (442.7 MHz) from Alpine, NJ was coming in to his location and he was able to have a QSO. I was able to also pick up the W2MR repeater with a LPDA here...
