Re: Woods Hole/Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket Steamship Authority

circa 2009: A log of these should be in the WIKI, as I personally submitted them (only Steamship Authority). This was when I was the radio tech for the US Coast Guard, and I was always was traveling 5-10 times a month on the ferry from Woods Hole to Martha's Vineyard & Nantucket. So I found out that...

Re: Worcester P25 800MHz Trunked (unknown talk groups need identifying)

My Uniden BCD996P2 scanner, I have it in {search mode/ID search} when I monitor the Worcester P25 system. It definitely showed: screen: 691 {this row is the alias alpha tag. When no tag, it displays the t/g #} 691 {where it displays the talk group number}. Now when MEMA was talking on the Worc syste...

MA > Worcester Trunked Radio System (new t/g ID's)

My personal opinion, I would add this under "Public Safety Talkgroups" heading/title. seems to be the best suited... 691 | MEMA Simulcast | MEMA VHF statewide repeater simulcast | 2019.07.06 sawyer100 add under "Police Department Talkgroups": 4375 | F4 TRAFFIC | Traffic Enforcement | Encrypted (full...

Cape Cod Tornado: Dennis area (Tue 7/23)

an hour or so ago, I heard MEMA broadcast a Tornado Warning & stating a Tornado was spotted on the ground on the mid Cape. At 1:02pm, I just heard MEMA dispatch the Fire Services vehicle with drone to the Town of Dennis to inspect & assist with Tornado damage {appears to be from today's storm}. List...

Worcester P25 800MHz Trunked (unknown talk groups need identifying)

Wed 7/3/19, heard, but each one is scrambled or encrypted: 4373, 4375, 4379, 4387, 4393, 4397

none of these six (6) are in the WIKI. Any idea what/who they are (i.e. FD, PD, school, parks, DPW, etc) ?

Re: Pittsfield Fire Simulcast

FYI: 451.8000 is in the business frequency pool, and it's designated as an "itinerant" channel/frequency, which means it can't be used in permanent fixed locations. It can be a temporary fixed base (FB), temporary UHF repeater output (FB2) or temporary mobile/hand-held portable (MOI). Lastly it shou...

FYI: The Maritime Licenses in MA page ( http://www.scan-ne.net/wiki/index.php?t ... nses_in_MA ) still has the old data from the last FCC license import. Was the "MC" (coastal group) FCC licenses included in with this FCC database update?

few years ago now, friend of mine used to work there as a full-time lifeguard. They used DCR Channel 15 (Parks/Recreation) 151.370 simplex PL 71.9. Each lifeguard stand had a DCR VHF portable radio. Though not allowed to carry it if a rescue might be needed, they left it at the lifeguard stand.

Re: MA > Worc Cnty > Worcester County Municipal Departments and Utilities

Hey There: If you plan to keep the old (discontinued freqs) data, then the record row needs to say "old", "no longer in use", etc. If you view it now, there are two listings for Warren DPW, and only 1 is valid as of today. So anyone from the public won't know which is which, or try listening to both...

Re: Northbridge Fire VHF

Update from Sat 1/12 - today's radio traffic:

mobiles = VHF (ambulance 1 & ambulance 2) only.
mobiles = low band (Engine 1 & another fire truck) only.

So it appears only the two ambulances are VHF, remainder of fire vehicles are still on low band.
