Re: Unlisted MSP TG

I heard a Massport TG on Zone 5 this afternoon, too. Didn't catch the TG but it was 4 digits... Talk of a flight landing being an Airbus A380.

Re: 1st night boston 2020

what channels are used to patch Feds? Depending on the agency and service, you'll hear govies on LE4, BPD FIO, or their own agency systems. There is also a (rarely used) Fed TG on the Mass TRS. For disaster response and consequence management (read as non-law enforcement), there is also a system bu...

What Bill said, 100%. Very rarely is there anything special (for public safety) that would pop up that you shouldn't already have programmed in your scanner if you have the large systems and interop in there.

Re: 463.2125 & 463.9625

Using the additional splits, there are 2 repeater pairs; a town-wide school repeater and one at the high school. The remaining channels are split amongst the middle and elementary schools for simplex use, with reuse assigned to the schools with the greatest separation distance. All town-assigned fre...

Re: 463.2125 & 463.9625

463.9625 CC1 is Walpole, MA Public School System. I have not hunted down the input yet, but it is most likely +5mhz.
CC1 is nowhere as busy as CC9.

Gary- I have also seen the weird TS display that you mentioned.

Another vote for the American-made DPD Omni X. I've had mine up 12+ years with no issues. Dave is a pleasure to deal with and was also active over on RR, too.

FD & PD on VHF analog, but sell the town DPW/Hwy Dept DMR radios Or PD on P25 UHF, FD on analog UHF, and DPW/MUNI/EMA on DMR VHF like my town.... To the OP's point, there is nothing wrong with DMR for public safety as a protocol in of itself. In fact, I find the DMR protocol superior to P25 (...

Nice of them to port C Patrol 3 to Zone 5. Now we can listen to all of Troop C on Zone 5.
I wonder how much having all of C Troop on Zone 5 full time adds to the channel load? Can't say I've ever seen all Zone 5 channels in use at once, but I suppose it could happen now. #bonk

My DMR repeater is now online, covering Walpole, MA and surrounding communities. It provides excellent portable coverage at Gillette Stadium and Patriot Place. Signal reports, especially from 95 and 495S are greatly greatly appreciated. W1JFR Walpole, MA Repeater NESMC Coordinated Frequency: 145.380...

I think what we have developed here over the past couple of years is much more accurate and reliable. I believe this is true for just about every system (RRDB vs SNE). The amount of on the ground/air investigation done by SNE members is amazing. The RRDB has gotten much better. I don't not want to ...
