I tried to ask this question yesterday but it did not get submitted to the forum, so here goes again...
Can someone explain the difference between this and the Nat Grid LTR passport system and why one can be heard and the other not unless you program the frequencies as a conventional system?
Thanks

LTR

I have to ask a question, is LTR different than the LTR Passport system that Nat Grid uses? and if so, can you help me to understand the difference or why is Nat Grid not available to monitor except when their LTR frequencies are put in a conventional system?
Thanks

Virtual Control for 436 issue

Hi All, I am using Butel's 536 software to program my 436, I have the latest version and last night tried to use the virtual control feature with my scanner but after hooking the cable, pressing the ubs mass storage and making sure the software and scanner are communicating, I clicked on the VC, sel...

Bill, Thanks for the forum thread, but I was asking about WEST Warwick, which is a separate city from Warwick which is what is discussed in the thread you passed along. I have even set one of scanners to search but have not caught anything as of yet... See this thread http://www.scan-ne.net/forums/s...

I saw a posting on FB yesterday stating that West Warwick FD was now utilizing RISCON and simulcasting on their current frequency, the post did not give a TG and a search here and RR did offer up any TG for them, anyone have it and would like to confirm it?

Hi I am using a Watson WBV-60 Wideband Base Antenna attached to LMR-400 coax with a Stridsberg 204 multi coupler at the scanner side of the equation.....I know the MC is used more for VHF & UHF but has served me well.....anyone aware of a better mulit-coupler that covers more bands?

So when you say that the EDACS system will be used, does that mean that that system will be phased out in the future and it will all be part of the Mass 800 system that the MA SPD uses?

New TG for the Autumfest in Woonsocket, they are using tg 1355 for parade operations, I also believe they are using this or a similar tg for the Autumfest grounds.

NAWAS system

I am not sure if this goes under this forum or another but here goes.... With all the recent sever storms, I was wondering if the NAWAS system is ever used? and if so, is this a telephone link to sites or is it an over the air system that can be monitored by a scanner? Doing some research I see some...

I am curious....how does a system like this be programed into a scanner (436)? Do I have to enter both the low range & High range freq to be able to monitor? could someone explain how the trunking system works

Info needed for rooftop antenna

Hi all, I am seeking opinions on which antenna to purchase to use with my 996xt, a 350a, a BC210 & BCIV, occasionally my 436 & 396t will be attached.... I have looked at a few multi-bands but can't decide on which will be best for monitoring 35 - 800 in my area (Northern RI). My choices are, a Watso...
