Re: Analog Channels for MSP

Bill I guess I'm naive (and uninformed). I thought for the time being what appeared on the digital side was also appearing on the analog side, but I guess that's not the case and me not knowing/owning a digital scanner doesn't help learn this process. I pop over to the link you provided more and mor...

Analog Channels for MSP

It appears the analog frequencies of 851.175 or 851.875 do not repeat the B-PTL2 traffic anymore. I've heard nothing for a while and was wondering if they were eliminated or switched. I tried some of the other frequencies listed in the conventional channel box here at SNE but with no luck. Here in F...

Re: FRCOG Changes soon???

Letter to the editor regarding this subject from today's Greenfield Recorder: 800MHzCoMIRS network. Given how extensively I was quoted, I wish the article had pointed out that I am, along with many other officials, deeply skeptical about joining CoMIRS. We need much more information. It was suggeste...

Re: FRCOG Changes soon???

Define "soon." Exactly. Should be now. Soon is probably 2025. I live here in Franklin County. The towers are a joke, some strong signals can be found, some take some luck to get. As a town, Montague would be the first to jump on their system. Since they left the 158's MHZ's, their system is a joke ...

Re: Franklin County 800 MHz

Hardly an expert, but as an active scanner hobbyist here in Franklin County, I can't see this happening. I know troopers and Chiefs in this area as well to talk to, but many people on this board know far more on this subject than well intentioned officers the pitfalls are of this here and in Berkshi...

Re: Vermont State Police - Consolidations

From here in Franklin County MA, I get 453.300 & 460.275 Shafstbury. Are 453.300 the old Brattleboro and 460.475, the old Rockingham, on just "one" frequency (now that there is one barracks? I used to get 460.475, but it is now barely audible but from what I can hear, it almost sounds like a simulca...

May I take over for Dave who seems to hit paydirt? I'm in charge of buying for a friend and have it narrowed to the HP2 or the Bearcat BCD536HP My friend is NOT internet savvy. Real NOT savvy. So it's enter a zip code...but out here in Western MA, there are some individual frequencies I'd like to ad...

453.4000 you have listed is the primary channel 1 for the above
460.0875 is in fact a little used channel 2 with a tone of 85.4

When I was in Springfield, for xx years, I would very rarely hear Orange on Zone 8. They always showed up on the Bearsden Hill zone in Athol. I never could receive Warwick, but I can assume they where there too. For a Greenfield/Montague other side of the Erving hills listener, I can tell you I get...

Interesting, I'll keep an eye on that, I get most of their traffic off the Warwick/Bernardston/Shelburne/Toby Towers. I will let you know if that traffic goes away or I might be able to get them here off that frequency, which looks like it could be part of the FRCOG family.
