Re: Scan New England Zello Chat
See if you can right click on the channel name and bring up a menu. If so there may be an option towards the bottom to "Send text message...". Give it a whirl, but the primary use of this channel would be for voice.

It's intended for voice but it is possible to text as well. I saw you or someone pop in there but no audio heard.

I didn't, but I also just changed some settings that may have been incorrect, so give it a whirl when you get a chance. I'm in and out of the room but I'll hear you, or should.

This thread continues the discussion at the old one: https://www.scan-ne.net/sne/viewtopic.php?t=44178 We were having some considerable difficulties getting the net outlined in the above thread going. The last attempt met with some considerable hardware connectivity issues. This will be an attempt t...

Re: Antenna Work
I've never been a comfortable roof climber. You need to get a tower! If I can be of help though I'll be there. Have you considered switching out coax runs? If it's been since the last time I was there for an install we might want to have a look at that, unless you think the performance is as good as...

Very informal conversation between what I'd guess was a husband and wife. Good night wishes, etc.
Only area license I can find is: https://www.radioreference.com/db/fcc/callsign/WQLG607
Nothing in the world famous Wiki or the RR database. Fairly decent signal here.

Re: American Airlines 94 In Flight Emergency
I've seen videos online where they perform this in the simulator, the procedure on how to fly without a windshield. It's fascinating stuff. Similar to how to fly should the side window pop open. They were at or close to cruising altitude as they were about 225 NM east of me when they called it in a...

I have them live on my ADS-B system. Looks like ADSB Exchange data may be delayed as the positions aren't the same.

American Airlines 94 In Flight Emergency
Monitoring Boston Center with AAL 94 out of NY, international flight diverting to Logan with cracked windshield. Watching on ADSB Exchange, descending into BOS right now at about 23000 feet, 150 miles east of Cape Cod so they were up there when this occurred. Boston Center ZBW17 ACK in use 133.450.

Re: 152.5400 DMR
Yeah, I saw the NH license, ASSumed it was local, and went from there. Anyway, I think the bands were a bit open last night due to the weather changes. Will have another looksie later.
In other stories, I doubt I had a tropo duct open between here and Nevada. That would be something...

152.5400 DMR
Looks like I originally found this on in July of 2022 during a band opening. When it keys up for a brief burst of data periodically it also has a companion just up the band at 152.5125, which is this system according to the Wiki: https://www.snewiki.com/wiki/index.php/Data_Radio_Management_Company W...

Re: 2/25/24 Low Band
Ditto, I have two Airspy setups going, one is doing a screen scan between 42-43 MHz and the other is covering 30-50 MHz. Seems like the 39 MHz stuff has faded at this point, had range control on 30.450 earlier today but not hearing it now either.
