Re: SDS 200

Scott, I don't believe my Whistler TRX-2 has any problem with DMR systems. I scan the AllComm/DC Rentals trunk and seem to pick up all activity. I don't know of any NXDN systems in my area so i can't say I have tried that. Here was the NXDN issue. I haven't followed updates as I no longer have the ...

Re: SDS 200

Waiting for the Whistler with all the digital modes built in. Always liked the audio, software and interface better. Only thing I love about today Uniden's is the GPS feature. But when I buy one they never seem to leave my room or kitchen so I need to stop. They just lost me at the first 996. I hav...

Barnstable County Public Safety Feed Back Online!

I am pleased to announce that I am once again providing this feed for Cape Cod. https://www.broadcastify.com/listen/feed/30016 It does have alpha tag capability. The best PC based solution for this seems to be the final version of Winamp, which is available via this link: http://meggamusic.co.uk/win...

Re: Falmouth DPW

I'm using the Airspy Mini SDR with SDR# and DSD+ in this case, but you should be able to program it in your 536 either as conventional DMR or a single channel trunked system and get results.

Re: Falmouth DPW

These are DMR transmissions. I have heard some voice traffic. It's been a while but I believe it was on 854.7125. As I look at it now I am seeing DMR data that appears to be related to the location of I'm guessing vehicles.

For "Free": Spring Project - Rohn Tower Uninstall

This is a project best left for warmer weather, but as part of my downsizing it is my intention to have the Rohn tower side-mounted to my house taken down this spring. I will move a few antennas onto a 10' tripod that will be roof mounted. This is commercial tower and there is a total of about 46 fe...

2019

Hi, As many of you may have noticed I have been away from here for a while. I'm working my way back from this hiatus and finding my way back into the hobby. The hiatus was necessary and all is well. I am downsizing here but I will be returning as time passes. Scan New England will live on. In all li...

For Sale: Multiple Items - Local Pickup Preferred

Hello, After a considerable hiatus from the hobby (which I will discuss in another thread in the near-future) I am coming back, yet at the same time downsizing, so the following items are available for purchase. I would strongly prefer local pickup ; if I have to ship it will be at your cost. I will...

My Feeds

Due to some life changes (not health related just to be clear), the scanner feeds I've been providing for quite some time will be shut down on Thursday 8/16/18. I'm hoping that someone will step up to provide replacements, if they are needed. There are quite a few Cape Cod options available now thro...

Re: Network 178 Oddities

I was just thinking the same thing and lo and behold here's your post. It sounded like 3202 may also have traffic from CH-13 on it, which made me think of that very entity. I haven't checked to see if their analog repeater is still running but I will do so over the course of the day.

Network 178 Oddities

I'm trying to wrap my brain (what's left of it) around why there are talkgroups on Site 2 (Mashpee) dedicated to simulcasting Marine channels. Using the updated 436HP I've found 3202 simulcasts CH-16 and 3203 simulcasts CH-21. I believe the Steamship Authority is still using this system and I wonder...
