Re: ICE Analog Trunk

So it's safe to call this system fully depreciated?

While Eric found one or two lone CCs, no actual activity has been detected?

Website Issues

Earlier today there were website issues that seemed to be caused by a database issue. After some attempts I was able to stop it from erroring but not before deleting my cookies. You may have been logged out during the troubleshooting phase. I didn't get any support from 1 and 1. The only support I g...

Re: National Emergency Broadcast test set for Wednesday

We had WBZ AM at my college station (WGAO) and it sounded fine. WBZ's test came almost a full minute before WBZ-FM's did, so we had it on the air, before WBZ-FM's did.
Audio had typical AM noise but was very audible. There were extra EOM tones transmitted over WBZ-FM.

Re: IKEA Stoughton

If the TGs jump from slot to slot, it's probably a CAP+ system, or possibly another manufacturer like Hytera's XPT trunking. If it was a CAP+ system, the 536 usually indicates this ("CAP") lights up on it. And from what I've seen the Hytera XPT TGs are usually somewhat bizarre how they display. Thi...

Re: Couple of North Shore area freq questions

I copied 151.985 DMR CC1, .... Did not see anything on it in the Wiki. Possible Children's Hospital in the Peabody area? If someone else could take a listen... Rich Just an FYI, when you search in the wiki, you have to put the 4th digit as zero into the search. 151.985 won't give you search results...

Re: Handling of unknown frequencies that could be inputs

Obviously, we should not be publishing repeater input frequencies. And it's often fairly obvious what's what. But what about cases where it's not? I've got a couple of oddball VHF things I found that I'm interested in discussing in the appropriate regional forums here. I don't think they are repeat...

Re: Television Repack Thread

It looks like having two RF frequencies on the air confused the TV and there may also be some mis-configuration as some channels show up on their RF channel number. 2-1 WGBH-HD Channel Not Available (See 5-3) 2-2 WGBH-SD Channel Not Available 4-1 WBZ-TV No Signal (See 20-1) 4-2 WBZ4.2 ..... So IKEA in Stoughton is using DMR. 451.5125 Repeater CC8 Slots seem to not be defined, TGs jump from slot to slot. Re: Television Repack Thread

Is the repack at 1 or 3am? I think WBZ:4 says 1am but WCVB:5 says 3am—but since WCVB is going from RF-20 to 33 and WBZ from 30 to 20, WCVB has to go first...or is the first couple of hours expected to be planned chaos? WGBX went at 1am, WCVB at 1:05, WFXT also at 1:05. WBZ-TV went sometime after th...

The SBA Oak St Tower, where WQRC, WHYA and WPXC are all located. WDPX has since left this tower, and entered into a sub channel channel share in the Boston area.

The Industrial Tower, that Eric mentioned.

TF Green VHF

Just heard an EMS call for an asthma attack on an inbound JetBlue flight, to respond to gate 2.

154.9950 / 100.0 .

We have this in the Wiki as DPW, and the EMS as not being simulcast on VHF.

Was this a mistake dispatch or something new?
