Providence Place Mall

So did some monitoring today from a location with a great vantage point of Providence, nice and close too. And heard silence for the two hours on the Providence Place Mall frequency. Just as I am pulling out, I picked up a fairly strong Cap + system on 452.1250, with a CC of 3, TG 1 and on Slot 1, m...

Added to wiki with "using PTT cell network". The specifics of the carrier doesn't matter for the wiki, as all of it is unmonitorable anyways.

Re: Seeking help in narrowing down a user/agency

155.2650 a Repeater [as I heard both sides] on 118.8 Hz could not ID a community Radio Reference has this as "Catholic Medical Center - Vans" out of Manchester, but that seems far from your location? And then we have 453.9500 R 100.0 it sounded like they said "Waterbury" but that freq/tone in the W...

Re: Plympton FD

Hello I can confirm that Plympton FD has completely switched to their new frequency (460.5875, PL 203.5). I monitored an incident on that frequency yesterday (7/7/19) and all units (bases, mobiles, portables) were all heard there. In the Wiki, it is listed as being in the testing phase. Thanks Arth...

462.1000 DMR

I've picked this up before but not 100% sure who the user is, and has an unusual condition 462.1000 CC 8, Slot 1. Dispatch talks to the unit(s) on TG 16777215 (All Call) Unit responds on TG 5000. Not uncommon for Taxi Services to make it so cabs can't hear each other, not sure if this is the same th...

Re: New Regional Dispatch

Gary, yes. Easton 1x, Foxboro 2x, Mansfield 3x, Norton 4x are a direct result of the regionalization efforts. If they haven't all yet made the changes (Foxboro limited since they are mostly in the 20s already) then they have to before the day they go live. So Foxboro and Mansfield I'd assume are bo...

Re: Rhode Island Statewide Thread.. Part II

Thank you folks for this thread for helping us watch and monitor RISCON's development over the years. However, as it is pretty much a stable system now, with few changes, and such, this thread is now unstuck from the top of the forum, and closed. Any future posts about future changes, such as towns ...

I thought the Fire RISCON patches were eliminated and they were UHF Only.
Guess things keep changing.
The 1480 TG came active when they called in Mutual Aid during the storm yesterday. It wasn't active before then.

Any of our South County monitoring folks, have you heard Coventry PD lately?

Heard nothing on RISCON (Heard their Fire, both the main and RISCON simulcast).

Perhaps they've gone the giant evil "E" ?

Re: Six Flags New England

Disconnect the antenna, and bring it in with ear buds. (Put antenna in your pocket). They'll think it's just a radio.

Honestly, you'll probably get no grief over it.

Check out the SNE Wiki for the LTR system at the park. Many TGs I confirmed last year, and reconfirmed by another user this year.

Re: Wynn / Encore casino, Everett

It's disappointing from a hobbyist's point of view, but not surprising that it's completely encrypted. The only thing that gave me a glimmer of hope is that trunked systems for the Wynn casinos in Las Vegas don't list encrypted talkgroups in RR, but those are also different protocols (I believe one...

CSERN is actually CLMRN

So for some reason, at some point in history, the statewide network was thought to be part of the old CSERN system. It isn't. The system is actually called CLMRN (Connecticut Land Mobile Radio Network), and will be changed in the wiki to reflect the proper name. Please note that, all links to the St...

Re: BCD536HP and NXDN

Trunked or conventional? I'm not familiar with that system. I don't have any conventional NXDN in my x36HP scanners, but I do get TGs and UIDs on the three trunked systems I listen to. NXDN trunking uses a weird system, IMHO, for TGs and UNID. At least weird compared to DMR. The TG appears to be ju...

Hello,

I notice this weekend that Motorola System 7439 is still active with a control channel on 938.6500 MHz. The site is located on Mount Agmenticus in York, Maine.

Just because the CC is active doesn't mean the site is. Did you detect any TGs?
