Re: Merrimack College PD DMR

Using my my BCD325P2, I was able to pick up 451.725 which is licensed to Merrimack College. It is DMR and there is PD traffic involving the campus. When I set to color code search, no code shows up, only DMR. I was wondering if anyone else can confirm and I was wondering if anyone else can get a co...

Re: LED streetlamps to lightup Weymouth streets

Whole neighborhood where I live has all gone LED. And the city owned electric has them on every single pole around here. Except for one which is still the Sodium Vapor (Orange in color) fixture. I haven't noticed any difference in the noise floor here, across the band. My new "smart TV" kills my low...

Not without software, no, until you're fast using the favorites editing. If you can plow your way through that process, it can be semi quick.

Question, how is yours on Image rejection? Mine seems to have issues in UHF only with images.

It's listed as omni-directional, but any pole mounted (what we in the broadcast industry refer to as "side mount"). Will have some directionality to it. How much is to be seen, but this model I know for a fact has a little pattern to it.

Not much on the P25 system that is not on the analog right now. 2019 is supposed to be the changeover. May not be a lot to listen to after the change though as most users will have encryption at least available.

And CT tends to be a pro-encryption state. Especially in Fairfield County.

Actually 170.1500 is a Part 74 [Remote Broadcast] that Goffstown applied for many moons ago and was granted Except within 150 miles of New York City, where 166.2500 and 170.1500 are both allotted for two way users. Re: Tolland Fire Ops (154.740 Rptr PL CSQ)

Is anyone else can listen and confirm PL CSQ, or whether there is a CTCSS/DCS tone? Is it possible it's crosspatched to some other radio system? This has been on for years. Surprised it's not in the WIKI. It's also never had a PL before either. Always been CSQ. It's a strong repeater that gets out ...

The frequency is dead and even sitting in their yard up there! There has to be someone in the Augusta area on here that knows something?
They may not be using radios. It's a very common thing now a days to see DPW people using push to talk cell phones for comms.

Yes, they will be. The system isn't online yet. This is just an early stage testing.

A friend of mine did a tally of the FD and EMS unit responses. It's approximate because he did it from various news reports. 120 Engines from MA and NH. 44 Ladder companies. More than 25 rehab, HazMat, and other special units. About 40 ambulances from both FD and private services. Boston EMS also s...

I just heard dispatches for Wakefield, Lynn, Malden for the worker in Saugus.

Bridgewater State University PD are operating on their old frequency (472.6125) in P25 digital now. NAC is $270h like the 453.8250 was.

453.8250 has been silent the whole time monitoring.

Hearing it fine here in near BDL in CT. Unless it was down for a short while today.
Check lockouts.

Same PL? Also with the extreme heat, there have been a number of transmitter and power issues today too.
