Re: Western New England University DMR

Update to an update.

It appears WNEU may be trunking DMR Now. I heard radio traffic on several frequencies, with data also now showing on one of them. I was unable to see more details as I was driving.

I was able to also reconfirm most of these today while there.
110 is a direct channel used by the check in desk to the ops center.

What does that mean?
It means the WIKI notation is old and out of date. I have removed it, as several model scanners now can track it.

That entry was put in before the DMR scanners were released.

Re: New Whistler TRX-1 and TRX-2 DMR/MotoTRBO Scanners

The advantage of the 536HP is that it comes preloaded with the nationwide database. That's pretty much the biggest feature that differentiates it from the 996P2 for $175 less. The 536HP is great for people who don't know what a frequency is and just want a preprogrammed scanner, but for anyone smar...

What, exactly, do they mean by SDR?
Software Defined Receiver or Radio. It's almost entirely run on Software, so there aren't many limitations on what it can do.

SQL Errors

Been getting quite a few of these. Hit "refresh" and the page then loads normal. Happened when I clicked on "new post" in this forum. When I clicked on the Taptalk forum just to read. General Error SQL ERROR [ mysqli ] php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known [2002] An...

Re: Any Need for Tapatalk?

I hate TapTalk. It makes browsing the forum on the phone without it very annoying. First there is the pop up, then the half screen, that shows up on every single freakin' link.

Yagi Suggestion - 470-490 MHz

Any good suggestions on a Yagi that will work best with 480 MHz?

Looking to setup another online feed.

If you haven't put any TGs in the systems, you need to set the system to "open" , so it scans and decodes everything versus closed.

I work PT in Franklin, and will be there on Thursday. I will confirm it then.

EDIT: Well I didn't need to. Coming in this morning. NAC is $293 confirmed. WIKI has been updated.

This is Bridgewater State University's new frequency. The analog went silent on Friday, and all comms have been here only.

Franklin PD P25

Received notification tonight that Franklin PD (482.6500) has gone P25.

I still don't have a scanner in my new vehicle so I was unable to confirm it or notice it.

More evidence about this being Bridgewater. Call for a cruiser to go to a Main St address and he mentioned he was "Central Square" which is in Bridgewater.

Edit I believe this is Bridgewater or Bridgewater State U (Although not sure why they would dispatch to an accident far off campus). This is not the University 453.8250 $270 PD base referred to themselves as "Station J", and the cruiser called the dispatch "J4". They responded to an accident at Cum...

OK I am able to confirm it is not Warwick. I heard back from a radio vendor, they have not switched to P25, nor any plans to. I heard a records check come back to a party out of Cranston, and assumed it was Warwick.

Warwick's Secondary has gone P25 with that NAC. I will update the WIKI and RR.
The primary is still analog at 210.7
Monitoring to see if the other channels have changed.
