On a 3600 system it's easy to determine the NAC, if you know the Connect Tone and the System ID. The NAC is set using the last 2 digits of the System ID and the Connect Tone Number. The Connect Tone numbers are as follows: 0 = 105.9 1 = 76.6 2 = 83.7 3 = 90.0 4 = 97.3 5 = 116.1 6 = 128.6 7 = 138.5 F...

In certain areas of Worcester. The Data Channel on the Worc. EDACs and MSP systems are so badly drowned out on my BC-15 that reception is 0 by Cellular? Antennas? Since the buildings I drive by have the Panel Style Cellular Antennas on the roofs. Certain areas are worse then others. Vernon Hill are...

It does not matter if the delay was on Analog or Digital voice. They most likely are not using a single in cabinet repeater, for adequate coverage in a city like Lowell they are most likely employing a voting system. The comparator is most likely an ASTRO TAC 3000. There will be on average a 25-80ms...

If you are suffering from interference changing the radio is not the solution. You need to mitigate the interference.

What do you believe is causing the interference?

The intermod rejection, selectivity and spurious signal rejection of most scanners is relatively the same.

What are you trying to do with it? To use conventional analog/digital clear and secure voice you dont need an ip.

I have an XTS5000 and there is a field in the CPS for an IP but I have never used it. I dont know what its really for.

I am pretty sure that most if not all of Boston PD, FD and EMS are Full-Duplex. The dispatcher can hear the units while that are transmitting Technically I think they are MOBILE RELAY not repeaters as the audio is delivered from the comparitor to the transmitters not from the receiver. You are corr...

95% of all the subscriber units out there are half duplex. They either tx or rx, not both at the same time. As Gary had said earlier there were some exceptions and still are but its rare these days.

Any one can do full duplex. Their console has to be connected by wire line to the comparator or transmitter. The types of "wireline" vary greatly, some use voice grade data circuits such as FDDA type phone lines, some use T-1's , to use a T-1 the T-1 is connected to a channel bank that allows the us...

Avaya is a company that makes PBX systems. I am unsure why coax of that type would be needed for a PBX system. Also "LMR-400" is a trademark of Times Microwave, so unless he is using that term generically that coax is very high quality. Times Microwave is one of the best.
