Re: ICE MotoTRBO TRS Decoding Project

The tower isn't on Prospect Hill. I was sitting in the Prospect Hill Park lot and saw a tower across the road. After driving around a bit, I've located it to 39 Sachem Street, Waltham. You can get a good look at it using Google Maps street view. It looks pretty new and oddly, it's right in the middl...

Re: ICE MotoTRBO TRS Decoding Project

I'll have to see if I can get enough location information on 573 to confirm that. It seems likely as they do a lot of work on I95 and the Turnpike. I've come to the same conclusion about Site 32 as have you. I even used much the same process to get to it. I was at Costco yesterday and had my SDR set...

Re: BCD536HP and NXDN

That's odd. I'd have been happy with a better display on the 536HP. It wasn't the size so much as the lack of brightness on the back lighting. That said, I do like my SDS the more I get used to it. The conventional thing is weird. You might want to ask on RR, since there is a larger user base. Conve...

Re: BCD536HP and NXDN

Trunked or conventional? I'm not familiar with that system. I don't have any conventional NXDN in my x36HP scanners, but I do get TGs and UIDs on the three trunked systems I listen to. NXDN trunking uses a weird system, IMHO, for TGs and UNID. At least weird compared to DMR. The TG appears to be jus...

Re: ICE Analog Trunk

Based on how they did the transition in the past, my guess is that there might be one or two legacy users that still haven't moved to the new system or maybe found an alternative.

Re: Industrial Communications and Electronics MotoTrbo Systems

Thanks, Eric. That's interesting about Salem. I did the Middleton verification by driving by the site and getting full signal on my SDR set up with no antenna. Now, I have to figure out if I made a mistake and the mysterious Site 32 is actually in Middleton. Site 34 being in Portland makes sense as ...

Re: Unknown Medical Transport

I've been listening this afternoon, but there's no traffic. Or at least not enough for DSD+ to decode. Of course, it's the weekend, so other than dialysis runs, there isn't a lot of transfer traffic.

I'll listen early next week and see if there's any activity.

Re: Marshfield Police P25

Baud rate only applies to trunked systems, Marshfield is P25 conventional. You'll still need the P25 board for the audio, but don't need to be concerned about baud rate. Hi, Does anyone know what the baud rate is for their P25 system? I have a Uniden scanner I can add a P25 board to for about $40 bu...

DSD+ shows secondary control channels, even when they are not active. I've seen that when monitoring the 700mhz overlay in the Boston area.

Re: CT new radio system activity

From the thread on RR, it seems that most of the 800Mhz sites are off line, but a few are still carrying traffic.

Hopefully, the CT contingent here will provide information so we can update the Wiki.

Is the analog system still hot or is it dead?

Can you still get a CC on it?

Re: Wynn / Encore casino, Everett

I can't say I'm surprised that casino operations are encrypted. At least security and anything to do with gaming and finances. Hello, I listened this morning to the system. I am on the edge of reception, so some radios do a better job than others. Color Code for the three frequencies is 0. All the v...

Re: ICE MotoTRBO TRS Decoding Project

I just found TG 573, which is a towing company in Boston. A better ID is needed. I've only found it on Site 32 so far, but it should also show up on at least the two other Boston sites. Also, I think I finally found site 32 on this system. I haven't confirmed it yet, but it appears to be located on ...

Re: 461.425

I'm not sure at all. I was (of course) away from the computer when it popped up and by the time I saw it there were several other hits which might have changed the color code back. I won't get back to this for a week, so I won't have a timely update. Are you sure the TG 50 is on the same color code?

461.425

DMR with a Color Code of 7. Activity seems to be on Slot 2. Two talk groups 10 and 11. TG 10 might be security. Today there has been a lot of Private Call activity. Signal is just a bit too weak for me to figure out who it is, but it sounds like either a hotel or maybe apartment complex. Two potenti...

Re: Boston Med Flight

I hardly ever hear TG 22 these days, but do hear TG 392 on a regular basis. I think that's dispatch for the ground units. According to their website, 52% of their transports are via ground unit. I hear Medflight on a regular basis here in Mashpee. They do check-ins each morning and other Comms on TG...

Re: 462.100

Doing some random listening this morning and came across this again. Any thoughts on how to add this to the Taxi Cab Wiki Page? My thought is that 16777215 is the dispatch side of Yellow Cab. The RID for that is always 5000. When units talk back in on the Private Call part, all of the units are 50xx...

Now in talks to sell the hotel/casino to MGM. Which may or may not delay the opening.

I wonder if security operations will be encrypted? MGM doesn't seem to use it at the Springfield casino.

Not unless you want to buy several expensive and not that easy to program radios. I suppose if you were wealthy enough you could buy an APX 8000 multi band. For analog and P25 Phase 1 I'm having good results with my WS 1065. It has the intermod problem on 800 that these scanners have had since the P...

The thing is, it's wedged in and working great. I don't want to change dislodging it or having it not work as well. Completely understandable. I don't have a severe noise problem, but have noticed the hum when I'm in my truck with the engine off. When driving, the background noise covers the noise. However, I have noticed that when I have the SDS200 running, the FM broadcast signal is degraded on my JVC aftermarket radio. So, I wonder if b...

Continuing the experimentation, I've changed Global to "Normal" filtering. Overall, that seems to work very well. I'm still fooling around with the ICE system. I had it set to "Invert" and it didn't seem to work all that well. I changed some of the site settings to "Wide Normal" and have seen some i...
