If anyone is looking to purchase the brand-new Uniden SDS100 handheld scanner, there is a fantastic deal available (with a coupon code) right now on eBay. The SDS100 just started shipping from dealers in the last 1-2 days and it has an MSRP of $699.99. All of the dealers are currently selling it for $649.99 which I believe is the minimum allowable advertised price.

There is currently a seller on eBay, webtron-x, who is selling the SDS100 for the "standard" $649.99 price with FREE shipping included and no sales tax. The extra $100 savings comes from a coupon from eBay that gives you 20% off any item (up to a maximum savings of $100). The coupon code to use to save the $100 is PICKDADSGIFT but it expires at 7:00 PM PDT (10:00 PM EDT) this evening.

This webtron-x eBay seller appears to be very reputable with 99.6% positive feedback with 24,334 total sales and they advertise "30-day returns." I decided to purchase one and I was impressed that I received a shipping notification with a FedEx tracking number within 15 minutes after making my purchase.

One thing that is interesting is that they initially listed only 5 as being available. As they sell out of what they have listed as being "available" they have then added additional inventory for sale. As of right now (12:20 PM EDT) they have sold 16 and there are "More than 10 available." If you want a brand-new SDS100 for $549.99 with FREE shipping and no sales tax you should pull the trigger IMMEDIATELY as I don't think this deal is going to last very long. At the latest it will last until the $100 coupon expires at 7:00 PM PDT (10:00 PM EDT) this evening.

The seller ran into a problem with Uniden and had to raise his price by $100. This is due to the $549.99 price being below the MAP, even though it is eBay's coupon and not the vendors.

The good news is that those who got in for $549.99 ($649.99 minus the $100 eBay coupon) ARE having their orders filled by the seller for the $549.99 price. According to the purchase history listed on eBay, it looks like 20 people were able to take advantage of this deal over a 3-hour period (7:00 AM PDT through 10:00 AM PDT) until the deal went dead when the seller raised his price to $749.99.
