Terrell Suggs done for the year, Achilles. Ouch. He's been a thorn in the Patriots sides for years, but it sucks when a major injury occurs. At his age and size, that could be a career ender.

Yeah, he can go home to his Scottsdale $3.5-million home and watch the rest of the games.

"We're on to Jacksonville".

A little dicey at the end, but it's a win within the division against a tough opponent. Nice to see 8 sacks on the D side of the ball, but they equally gave up some big plays at inopportune moments. I think this will be the nature of that beast all season long, but when you can put up the points Brady and Co. do it may not be that much of an issue. Hopefully the Jaguars are not that "trap" game that happens so often after a big win.

They're running up the score. Will we hear that phrase again?

I would expect to hear that a lot during the season. Brady and the team are on a mission this year. I'd expect many more beat downs like today's. I wonder if there has ever been a triple digit game in the NFL?

Nope, 72 is the record. I think there may be opportunity to break that if the mission that the Pats are on continues.

If they can put up a triple digit score, I'd expect that to happen in Indy during game 5.
Some sports talk dope was whining about the Pats "running up the score" yesterday. No doubt he's from the "everybody gets a trophy" brigade.
He's going to have a lot to whine about this year.

Off to a good start, 4-0, although Tom Brady got roughed up a few times, he recovered quickly. And he's now played the most games in team history.

Sloppy play against the Giants today. Julian Edelman has a foot injury, that will hurt if he's out for a while. We'll have to listen for the prognosis. There are differing stories, either out for the rest of the year, or maybe a few weeks. Everyone else needs to step it up, they came close to losing.

Broken foot. Might be back for the play offs. In other NFL news, Manning was benched in the 3rd quarter. That's a hint.

It's called injuries, excessive injuries. When the bullets are removed from the gun, it's not going to shoot as well. :-) But they adapt better than any team probably ever has. Hopefully the latest round of injuries are not bad for the sake of the players and the team, and of course for the fans.

I think Rex simply put two and two together, and sent the house whenever possible. Of course it worked, but it didn't work enough.

And not so close, Bill, you got me by 20 points. Again, thanks to those injuries ultimately, as Gronk was double teamed due to the minimized threat resulting from the missing puzzle pieces.

Next week in Denver will be a serious challenge. We'd probably be better off with Peyton IN! :-)

That was butt ugly. They couldn't take advantage of all those Eagles penalties, sad. Not going to be a good looking season from here on.

They played a crappy game and got the expected result. Except for Scott Chandler and Amendola, no one played well on either side of the ball. I think that once some of the injured players come back and Jamie Collins is at full strength, they'll get better. At least I hope so.

I also have to wonder if they didn't get complacent and lazy because it was only the Eagles.

Next man up only goes so far. But that doesn't speak to the horrendously poor special teams play. When they get healthy again I expect they will return to where they were before, but that offensive line really needs to get shored up and solidified. I don't see a need to panic and I'm not aware of any lines forming to jump off of the Tobin...yet. :)

That game answered a lot of questions. Except the one about when they cut Logan Ryan.

It was great seeing Julian Edleman coming along at full speed, and watching Rob Gronkowski score a couple touchdowns.

It was a disappointing game, to say the least. The Broncos defense was just too much for the Patriots. Manning was only okay, and I think they'll have a lot of trouble against Carolina.

Job 1 for the Patriots is bolstering the offensive line.
