Hyannis Fire

#1 Post by deacon » 20 Dec 2018 19:34

For the last several days, I have been hearing Hyannis Fire on 460.625 repeater. I also notice that they seem to be experimenting with several different alert tones.

That UHF frequency has been around for a while now, just not sure how long it's been used as a simulcast?

IS it now a Simulcast of Dispatch ?
Is the 800 Conventional still in use ?

Lots of older records, in need of validation

I know 460.625 has been around for years, but the current use of it is recent. The 800 conventional is still in use.

Their 800MHz conventional is actually, from what I understand, their primary. The talkgroup on the MSP system and the 460MHz channel are simulcast from the 800 conventional.

Interesting, I have not heard them on it until recently as I have I monitored Freetown for ages on the frequency without a tone.
