Auto Auction business (159.750 Rptr D-116)

#1 Post by cmpsa » 15 Jan 2018 15:37

The past few weeks, during business weekdays, I've been listening to an auto auction type business, down in the southeast MA area. Mention of auto auction chatter on a daily business, what cars sold & didn't sell, and staff moving around cars from various rows (named by by letter). A mention of cars arriving in from West Bridgewater.

159.750 Rptr D-116

I have researched FCC licenses and nothing current or expired. I have also checked the previous freq {159.7425} & after freq {159.7575} FCC licenses current & expired as well. I'm trying to figure out who this might be.

Thanks in advance.

What town were you in that you heard it? A little more specific on your location would help some.

sorry.. been hearing at my base in Uxbridge near the MA/RI state line. Though I have a 40' tower with a VHF stationmaster base antenna, so I hear stuff from far away as well. They mentioned various towns today like West Bridgewater, Brockton, Raynham - shipment of cars coming in from those towns. I did get a chance to drive north near Worcester, and the signal goes away. I will try out west near Charlton/Sturbridge area and see if I hear it that way or not.

There is central mass auto auction in oxford. However, I think your more likely to hear addessa auto auction in framingham which is in the old GM plant in a very large and tall building.

and the winner is...

Central Mass Auto Auction, Oxford, MA.

been talking constant since 7am. Just one staff said stock # 767928, a Nissan Altima. I went to CMAA's website and found a link to current inventory. I searched stock # 767928 and up popped the 2004 Nissan Altima, color green - they are talking about as I'm typing.

I will have to take a ride by there this week. They come in full scale from Oxford to Uxbridge on my scanner. This freq I always monitored for the past 6 months, and it was 2nd week in Dec they turned on this unlicensed VHF repeater.

Hello Folks not sure if this will help but this was the closest repeater I could find in the FCC database in Worcester County with a matching Output frequncy :) ... ey=3363571
Check the input frequencies in the link when you are on your foxhunt.
