That's an interesting move. As I recall, Fallon currently operates a secondary PSAP and does the EMS dispatching for their ambulances and the FD. I wonder how that will work out and if South Shore will add a dispatch channel to what they have now?

Notify might be a more accurate term than dispatch. Medical calls go to their secondary PSAP and the dispatch an ambulance and do the over the air notification to Weymouth FD. I forget which Fallon channel it's on, but that shouldn't be hard to figure out. Weymouth then dispatches the apparatus on their channel.

Ahh, yes handling the Medical [9-1-1] Dispatch, I recall Quincy pushed for that way back with Fallon
Sometimes you can hear the Pager Signal in the background of them dispatching [Fire] as Fallon does the Dispatch

I forget how long the course is for EMD, but it's more than one week. I can find out if you really want to know since I have a friend who used to do that training. It's not uncommon now for private services to do the EMD part for municipalities. I know that Armstrong does it for a couple of towns, and I suspect Pro does as well.

There is also a QA component for 9-1-1 medical calls that agencies are now having to comply with. More reason to contract it out to an outfit that has that all in place.

The EMD course itself is about a week. It's the OTJ training that takes a while.

It's 153.650, which I have tagged as Fallon F1, that they use for this.

ETA: I don't know if this is new as I previously wasn't paying that much attention to the system, but they seem more active today. At least one 9-1-1 type call went out for chest pain. So far, everything is on their existing dispatch channel.

It might be a good time to dial up the frequencies that SSH is licensed for and see if there is any new activity. They share at least two 452.xxx frequencies with Gillette Stadiums Cap+ systems. I'm about half way between the two, so all I hear is Gillette. Someone closer in to SSH might have better luck.

The current EMS channel is analog.

I'm hearing DMR activity on 462.0500 with a Color Code of 7 (TG17 Slot1) that seems to be related. I heard radio checks between Weymouth Control and South Shore Operations, and I just heard Weymouth Control dispatching A-9 along with fire to a medical with A-9 reporting, "this is a test."

I'll plug that in and see what pops up.

ETA: Testing going on, TG 1 (both slots), TG 17 (SL 1) and TG 18 (SL 2). DSD+ shows it as DMR, but not a specific type.

Radio shop referred to "Channel 2" during a test.

Audio is pretty clear on DSD+.

The system went live right at Midnight. TG 17 SL 1 CC 7. That seems to be the 9-1-1 dispatch TG. Weymouth Fire Alarm has a radio as well.
