Thanks for the info. I'll give that a try.

A separate question, maybe best to be put in another topic but here goes. I've been listening to the TD Garden system. I listened tonight during a Celtics game and there was absolutely zero activity. After the game I heard a few communications. It's definitely the Garden but why would they be so quiet? Are they going direct only during games? Anyone have any ideas?

This is both the fun and the annoyance that comes with trying to identify rented frequencies/talkgroups, it basically comes down to educated guessing or hoping that they say their company name on the air. Give TG 1-10-101 on the Dispatch LTR Boston site a try, it's definitely a school bus company operating in the Waltham/Newton/Lexington area but I'm just not familiar enough with the players in the area to get an ID. I've also found writing down unit ID's heard and matching them with what I see on the roads to be helpful.
Thanks OceanNora. I thought for sure this would be it but there was no traffic on that talkgroup. There's a bus company on 032 but it just serves Cambridge, again sounds like a special needs van. Appreciate your suggestions though.

Thanks. I still have it set up the same way in my scanner, but Armstrong seems to have disappeared from the Boston site and I only hear them on the "Waltham" site.

That would be the original Boston site, I still have the old Metro Repeater site marked as Waltham in my scanners even though the site has apparently been moved.

Going back to the original topic regarding Eastern Bus, I do also get traffic on TG 600024 that sounds similar to traffic on 600023. "Wellesley Base" was mentioned, and the the unit numbers buses/vans had 3xx vehicle numbers, similar to 600023 which had high 2xx-3xx vehicle numbers. On 600023, I heard the dispatcher ask a driver "If a flute was left on your bus" so it seems to be that they are in fact buses rather than special needs vans.

They definitely are operating in Newton but there are just these little hints that it's not them. I'm not sure. I also have been listening to that UHF LTR system either the Boston or Waltham site, I believe the talkgroup is the 1-01-101 you mentioned. That could be it as well but still don't have confirmation. You can pretty much sit on 461.275 and hear just about all the traffic. I listened to the input to that and could hear some mobile units but not as many as I expected living close by.

Eastern Bus numbers are all 3 digits, they have buses ranging from the 100's to 300's in the Boston area. What is being heard on the these two One Voice talkgroups leads me to think this is Eastern Bus.
Regarding the 1-01-032 talkgroup, Cambridge Special Ed buses were operated for several years by S P & R Transportation of Dracut. I believe at one time they also had Somerville's Special Ed contract. They had Lowell's SPED contract for several years till the contract was pulled and given to PrideStar Student Transportation last February. S P & R's Lowell area operations were on Dispatch Communications Hudson NH LTR site. The company was sold last June to NRT Bus. Don't know if NRT took over the Cambridge contract after the sale.

That is definitely special needs vans or buses in Cambridge.

While updating many of the DPW/Highway channels tonight, I've stumbled on a few NEW Gems [added to the Wiki's]
but the one related to this thread, that was coming in weak, but is there is the Prudential Security on 472.0625 131.8 Hz

Hi All,

5) Prudential Center Shops Security -- Went with the Mrs. there and while she shopped I listened and could not find them. Checked that 470 MHz channel they've had for years. Also some DMR channels licensed to the Prudential Center. Maybe they just weren't talking but never heard anything.

Thanks very much,

Rich Barnett

I know that used to be them but I hadn't heard that for years. Do you know if that covers the building and the shopping plaza there both?

Anyway, thanks, I'll take a listen.

Only got enough traffic to ID it as Boylston St
and just [seconds] after typing this, got the Maintenance [all Spanish] on 484.0125
