Braintree PD

#1 Post by RadioPro » 22 Jan 2019 14:41

For the past few days I am picking up Randolph PD on Braintree PD’s 471.5375 131.8. Anyone else hearing this?

Have not noticed it, caught Randolph on their own channel tho.

Was this just Dispatch or both Disp/Mobiles ?
Wondering if Dispatch was Multi-Selecting and keying up on both RPD and BPD at the Console

It’s just a static TX but you could here what they were saying clear enough. Is Braintree main up on Blue Hills?

Last I knew, NO - they were up on Rockdale St above the SS Plaza with a back-up at the Station

Now the current license has the Repeaters at the Station, but the other one is well down into Weymouth [near Atlas Alarm on Rte-58]

Could it be intermod at your location ? Not sure how close you are to Randolph PD or GBH

I spoke to a fellow Ham in Braintree and it sounds like Randolphs repeater had issues and was transmitting with a huge deviation. But it was fixed. I
Monitored Randolph and Holbrook and Braintree and no interference. Randolph's repeater sounds fine now. Much more clear than the P25 station near me that we are all getting used too. All the best Happy Monitoring 73 KA1KIJ
