Westfield PD F2/Tactical/SOPs now P25

#1 Post by unit7 » 12 Aug 2017 13:48

The Westfield PD freq of 858.2375 (referenced as F2/Tactical in various places) is now P25 with a NAC293. It is active with traffic coordination for the airshow at Barnes ANGB.

F1/Dispatch is still analog.

Heard that yesterday and wasn't sure if it was a permanent or temporary for the duration of the show with borrowed equipment.

I heard it quickly a few weeks ago as well, but wasn't on long enough to grab the NAC or catch that it was in fact Westfield. I just wrote it off as possibly being from Connecticut.

Westfield PD CH 1 is now P25 / Clear as well. My friend doesn't know how to do NAC search on his Whistler scanner, so that information is forthcoming.

So now all that is left to confirm is if 853.2500 has also gone P25, which I suspect it has.
