155.655 Rptr NAC $263 (Holyoke Fire, now Police usage)

#1 Post by cmpsa » 09 Dec 2018 15:10

Since the former Holyoke Fire 151.190 Rptr DMR CC5 FCC license expired, I decided to monitor the other FCC Holyoke Fire licensed freq of 155.655 Rptr, and I'm picking up police activity on it, not full-time chatter but "here & there" on a daily basis.

155.655 Rptr P25 NAC $263 It's police activity, but I can't confirm it's Holyoke Police or some other Police Dept. I double-checked other users from RI, MA & NH, and my best guess it is Holyoke PD.?. I have heard nothing on the current plan of { Holyoke Fire, Ch2 Fireground Rptr 155.655 Rptr PL 123.0 }. Maybe when they switched to the (then) proposed 151.190, they gave the 155.655 to Holyoke PD to use now?

I've confirmed the 155.655 Rptr NAC$263 are Not the RI & NH licensee's, definitely a western MA user, as it's stronger in Palmer area than in southern Worc Cnty area by RI state line.

answer: it is Boxborough Police I am hearing, not Holyoke. My Uniden BCD996P2 scanners (have 155.655 programmed in at both sites) and I get a signal 4 of 5 at the Uxbridge site. and it comes in full scale at my Palmer site, which is furthest away from Boxboro.

Thank you for the assistance..

On a side note, my Uxbridge site picks up the Block Island (New Shorham), RI DMR VHF repeaters (signal 2 of 5). So I hear stuff very, very far away.

KWQ545 New Shoreham, Town of - Police Dept.
153.7625 Rptr DMR/TRBO (on a lattice tower on the island)
