MA State Police 800: Talk Group 34384 (MSP-Framingham To AMR Dispatch)

#1 Post by cmpsa » 01 Dec 2015 15:38

Happy Holidays:

On Monday 11/30/15, while in Oxford, I heard on MSP "talk group 34384" MSP-Framingham call AMR dispatch for a radio check, and they replied back loud & clear. When I got home & checked my pocket scanner guide, I had put a note in it back on 7/3/14 I heard AMR call MSP-GHQ for a radio check, as well.

All the websites show 34384 as MSP "GANG-A" Troop A gang operations. Obviously this changed to something new back in 2014. Anyone have any idea what the usage is now of 34384 is? It rarely talks on a monthly basis, otherwise I would have seen it much more often since July 2014 to yesterday.

I've been hearing the test with AMR since last spring. Never heard anything beyond that.

A Mystery since approx 2012, as the only traffic ever is the Radio Check

copy that, on the radio check only.. Same thing I always hear, radio check only and quiet as a mouse the 99.9% the remainder of the time. They never talk to hear more.

AMR provided EMS for Framingham but why would the state police need to talk to them that is a mystery. AMR isn't as big as it once was either.

AMR was/is the EMD resource for the MSP wireless E911 calls that had no home to go to. This was a means to communicate I was told.
