Looks good from here. How do you like that Alinco? I came very close to buying one and went the SDR route instead.

Thanks Scott! It's a very nice radio for the price. The Alinco does have SDR capabilities via some downloadable software. Not sure if you would consider it a true SDR but it is a nice feature. There are a couple of things I don't like. The memories can only be scrolled via two up and down buttons and the key pad location is directly above the tuning knob and it gets in the way when programming.

I went with an Elad FDM-S2. Great receiver, the software written for it is fantastic, and it also receives the VHF low and high (up to 160 MHz) bands so it's a nice addition for low band DX'ing and VHF tropo DX'ing and/or searching. I've heard mostly positives about the Alinco although I've never seen the software for whatever SDR capabilities it has. I had a DJ-11 handheld for a while; worst audio I've ever heard from a handheld, and it too had some apparent SDR capability but at the time I couldn't get it going.

Nice looking setup there. I've always liked the handles on the Satellit receivers.
