They are still using it as backup. While main operations continued on RISCON during the storm and after, the dispatcher was also on the analog frequency with cars from the department. Coventry Police was doing the same thing.

Talkgroup 1779 has a road race going. This is confirmed as East Greenwich. Police spoke about the same thing on their analog frequency

Listening to RISCON this morning solved another piece of the puzzle. It seems that any talkgroup above 200 belongs to a hospital. Landmark is on 207. Woman & Infants is o 216. I couldn't catch anymore then as they were going from the hospital's home channel back to Wide Area 3 whichI figured is the medical channel just Police & Fire have their wide area channels.

I feel like I'm in a Benny commercial "hello" as my voice echoes in the empty store

It's been pretty quiet around here lately. That belongs to hospital operations, though no other information has been gained about it.

FWIW, there is also an adult critical care truck that runs out of RI (the trucks are garaged together onsite). I would imagine that they're on the same channel, but I'm willing to be wrong.

Talkgroup 1430 sounds like a police department. Providence Housing is now using their talkgroup instead of the analog frequency. RIPTA is on talkgroup 187 as they mentioned their new radio system on the RIPTA talkgroup section.

My bad this is a typo. The talk group ID is 1430 for Charlestown Police simulcast. Today there was a water rescue involving Charlestown Police and fire/EMS on Riscon. I beleve Wiki has the PD listed as 1426.

What about 1341? Didn't see it in Wiki. Not enough content to get an idea of type of agency or where. just that it was South Zone.

Yes 1426 is the PD TG from the Wiki, looks like they keyed up multiple TG's and now 1430 is in need of Identification for what actual use

Bill, from monitoring locations given TGID1430 appears to be Charlestown Police dispatch simulcast. I will submit this info in for Wiki updating.

Two small corrections, if it matters:

It's LifePACT, not LifePak. The Rhode Island accent usually eliminates the T. Also, Providence FD has no Engine 1. Used to, when Special Hazards was a 2-piece company, but not for quite a few years now.

Also keep in mind that in some communities the people using the cars change but the cruisers stay the same each shift. Alot of what you have listed are individual portable ID's with some car ID mixed in. PD wise anyhow. Example if its S1 on days its still S1 on midnights etc.

Not really. I watch them, and that not always true. Especially where Providence & East Providence are concerned
