TGID1836 NTH Zone is active with fire dispatch. Sounds like its being simulcast. Maybe Central Falls??? Can anybody confirm this?

Got a new unknown talk group to report. TGID176 STH Zone was active with a unit calling motor pool. Unit numbers were 22 and 30. 22 indicated that he was broke down on Interstate 295 and needed assistance. Maybe RIPTA???

East Greenwich PD was confirmed a while back using 1780. (They have other TGs in the 177x range too).

This is probably someone else. There is another confirmation from a while ago about 2035 mentioning Westerly.

I would see if this is Richmond PD (South County Trail goes through it also)., who hasn't had any confirmed TGs on the system yet.

I agree Mike. Going to have to monitor more traffic to nail this one down. They were really active for one day and then activity shutdown. Possibly testing the system for future fulltime use.

Excellent. Lucky shot in the dark. I should play the lottery number.
I could call it an educated guess. It'll be added to the appropriate DBs

Can you tell if the VHF is still active?

Getting Hope Valley Fire tonight "confirmed" on TGID1400 STH Zone. Sounds like they are working a car accident and waiting for a life star helicopter. Noted incident command calling Hope Valley dispatch to confirm helo arrival time.

West Warwick On RISCON

#312 Post by K1JBP » 28 Jul 2015 15:28

I now have positive proof that West Warwick is using RISCON. As you know, I'm big in radio ids, and by observing two different events, have identified them. West Warwick is using Talkgroup 1207 but no one can heard them because their transmissions are encrypted. West Warwick Police have taken calls on Wide Area 2 with radio ids of 27XX. Also a training session held on Southwide 2 also had 27ids as well. Considering that the main dispatch channel is still on 154.785, this may be the detective division using this talkgroup for their operations.

How have you determined that WWPD is on 1207 if they are ENC? What events did you monitor to make this determination? Also did you hear WWPD in clear traffic on Wide Area-2?

On Wide Area 2, they did respond in the clear "West Warwick has it" to State Lincoln. That is where I noticed the radio id was 2701.

How far south are people getting the North and Providence Zones ? Anyone using a yagi pointed that way. In Newport was looking into options for getting those zones.

Probably going to be a long shot from Newport even with a yagi. I can hear both zones most of the time here in WW using a yagi with a preamp but the signals are still not that great.

New TG for the Autumfest in Woonsocket, they are using tg 1355 for parade operations, I also believe they are using this or a similar tg for the Autumfest grounds.

I am thinking the 152x series TGs are fire training. We have 1523 listed as a Fire Disaster Drill, UNID.

Woonsocket is using Talkgroup 1368. Maybe highway department or public works?
