Brookfield CT storm response

#1 Post by cdgordon » 16 May 2018 06:08

Yesterday's line of severe storms struck several locations especially hard. Brookfield is the one I heard is the worst. Where I am in Granby, we had 2" hail with lots of windows broken, siding with holes, and dented cars (none here).

Regional Engine Strike Teams activated for today's operational period that I heard include 82 (NW Litchfield Cty), 81 (NW Litchfield Cty), 54 (Farmington Valley), and 52 (BDL Airport area).

County Coordinators have been active all night. CT's USAR Team had been activated as well and will return this afternoon. CTDOT, Eversource,

8-Call-90 active Statewide with responding assets. (851.0125, 156.7)

CSP TRS activity includes:
CSP Troop A - 48 (assisting Brookfield PD)
DEMHS - 32560
Statewide Fire - 32240
DEEP Forestry - 22544 (briefly active)
