Groton PD on Troop E 700

#1 Post by cdgordon » 24 Mar 2019 10:20

Groton PD is starting the transition over to CLMRN (Connecticut Land Mobile Radio Network). Using existing 800 and testing on the Troop E 700 MHz site. There is a parade today that they announced would be the changeover event.

The municipal talkgroups are calculated using the Town Tax Codes. Add 10001 to the Tax Town Code to get the base TG. So with Groton being 059, the first TGID would be 15901.
15901 Groton PD Dispatch 1
15902 Groton PD Dispatch 2

The other agencies that have signed on include Stonington PD, Coventry PD, Norwich PD, and Hartford FD.

So just for an idea West Haven for instance will be 25601,11560 or 10157, I'm a bit confused as you're saying to add 10001 to the tax code

West Haven (Tax code 156) would be 256xx talk groups, 10001 + 15600 = 25601 so that would be there first possible TG. (Note West Haven does not haven any plans that I know of to join this system)
