The first Whitman ARC "Winterfest" will be held this Saturday Jan 21st from 9-1 at the Whitman Knights of Columbus hall, 1195 Bedford St. (rt 18), Whitman. This is the first time in quite some time that there's been a ham flea market in the south shore area of SE Mass. So far, there are 28 tables reserved, which is almost capacity for the hall. We might need to find a bigger venue next year. In the past, we've held general purpose flea markets, but seems the market for those became over saturated in the area. Seems everyone was hungry for one that was strictly ham radio/electronics. Hope to see some of you there!
Repeaters that will surely be used during the event include the club's 147.225+ PL 67.0, and the recently relocated from Taunton to Whitman 927.6875- PL 131.8.

I'm not sure if anyone is planning on gathering for breakfast before hand locally. I'm going to be there early helping out, so I won't be able to. I know some of the K1USN guys are selling at the flea market, but there may still be some at their breakfast that they have every Saturday at 7 at the Hearth & Kettle just off route 3 on route 18 in Weymouth.

It won't help this year, but if they hold it at the same venue again, Nellie Rose is a very good place for breakfast.
They had a good turnout early today. Hopefully, they'll be able to do more of these.

Is there a great go to breakfast place in the area?

We're peace loving people, we're not hunting trouble, but if trouble should find us, we'll stand up and fight.
I haven't been there yet, I should give it a try, and yes, it's right down the street so would be convenient in the future.garys wrote:It won't help this year, but if they hold it at the same venue again, Nellie Rose is a very good place for breakfast.
