MSCommNet Thread II
Re: MSCommNet Thread II
I received transmissions on an 800 MHz mobile repeater from a State Police cruiser today in South Berwick. 851.6875 was transmitting a P25 control channel showing a system ID on my BCD396XT of 0077h. It didn't show a site ID. I actually swapped that freq into my scanner as a CC and received Zone 1A traffic on it. It didn't change to another frequency when there was voice traffic like a regular trunking site, everything was on 851.6875. The mobile repeater had a range of a little less than one mile.
Re: MSCommNet Thread II
TG 672 is being transmitted on the Mt Aggie site (43), all encrypted. Radio IDs are in the MSP mobile radio range (1101xxx).
New analog feed of Cyr Mountain?
I'm up near Madawaska. I was putting the RSP1A through its paces and spotted that 151.2650 is carrying a simultaneous analog feed of what's going out on the Madawaska MSCOMMNET P25 voice channel. As I watched, I saw the analog channel exactly mirror the activity on the P25 channel.
Did a little searching, can't find any mention anywhere of .2650 being used as an analog outlet for this purpose.
Can anyone shed any light on this or is it a new one?

Re: MSCommNet Thread II
No. 9 Mountain Region Net. It is listed in the Wiki.
Re: MSCommNet Thread II
Thanks, I did search but it can't have been in the right place, I'd guess.
Was out of the area for a couple of years but now I'm back and working on refamiliarizing myself with what's on the air.

Re: MSCommNet Thread II
You can always search the wiki for the actual frequency
see the Search of http://www.scan-ne.net/wiki/index.php?t ... 2650&go=Go
However, always use out to 4 decimal points, unless part of newer narrow band where they use 5 digits [700 mhz is an example]

Re: MSCommNet Thread II
171.3175 has been switched as a control channel to the Spuce Mountain site.
Re: MSCommNet Thread II
From what I understand, on a Harris P25 system any frequency at a site can be in the CC rotation.
Re: MSCommNet Thread II
My Understanding as well.
I think the original concept of tracking the Control, Alternates and Voice channels may [for this system] need to be revisited or continue with edits
BTW, seems they added TWO NTIA channels to Spruce

Re: MSCommNet Thread II
With that thought in mind, Whitten Hill site #83 in Zone 2, 160.800 is also used as a control channel.
