Heard many transmissions today , public works

Reception wasn't fantastic, and sometimes hard to hear here in Taunton

Oh that? I'm a little slow on the uptake sometimes.

So this turns out to be Blount Fine Foods in Fall River. Along with 453.1125 85.4, they are running two channels unlicensed on fairly strong repeaters.
A DF finding and measurement has proven this from last night.

Both have been added to the WIKI.

They are licensed for four actual business frequencies
461.8750
461.8875
463.2500
463.3750
Under license WQZI766
Those remain quiet.

Nice find ! I actually just found the 453.1125 freq last week. I've been listening to the licensed freq's (licensed as nxdn) for months and haven't heard anything. The above freq seems to be the main production channel. What type of transmissions have you heard on 460.5375 that made you believe this was a DPW ? Blount is currently ending a large expansion (built 2 new buildings) and still have many contractors on site daily. I'm wondering if this belongs to one of those.

As is 453.1125 Part 90 Public Safety / Local Government

There are many out there, using Frequencies Not properly licensed [a Ski Area in Milton has been observed in the past as was a Major Stadium with it's own Traffic Helo years ago on BPD Channel]

Never mind Public Safety, there is Amateur, GMRS, Media and Federal channels being bootlegged

Just shows there is still plenty out there, Not Found, Not Identified and ... Analog :)

Honestly, at the time, when I first heard it, I heard the discussions of pumps and pressures, so I assumed based on that, then really just ignored the channel till recently.
More recently, it's easy to tell it's all maintenance comms. (Especially when you hear the same woman on *.1125 call for "facilities" on that channel).

At first I thought it was being used by the Ice Cube maker facility there, but when I aimed at Blount it got much stronger. When I pulled into their lot, it was off the charts, with full attenuation and no antenna on the receiver.
