VTSP - Multicast Project

#1 Post by ecps92 » 11 Jul 2018 08:44

Some Over the air confirmations would be nice, but VTSP has added more UHF channels to provide better coverage thru a Multi-cast system in the past year
The Wiki has been updated with the new info

As a reminder, the Vermont State Police have updated other channels over the past several years to include a multi-cast design.
If you have not updated your channels you may experience less than optimal reception with transmitting or receiving as it relates to the locations below.

Bill -- I'm up in the Saint Albans area for a couple of days and have one scanner going with nothing but these freqs. So far I have only heard activity on 460.225/203.5. Will have it going on the trip back south.

One outlier though: a couple of times I have picked up what sounds like DOT traffic on 453.3/D074. Can't find any references to this freq/tone pair.

Could be not implemented yet ?
Good question - info came right from the VTSP

As to 453.3000 could be from NY ?
I only see VTSP licensed for it in both NH and VT

Made the trip down I-89 today and was able to confirm activity on a number of additional frequencies:

Near Exit 7 Berlin/Barre
453.7500 C156.7
460.1500 C210.7
460.3000 C167.9
453.1625 C156.7
453.8250 C203.5

Near Exit 5 Northfield
460.4750 C162.2

Near Exit 3 Royalton
460.2250 C167.9

Across NH border:
453.3000 C167.9

I can make a separate entry on the data submission page if necessary, but since this is an active topic, I figured I'd start here.

Thanks wiki has been updated.

In the future us the submission as it helps us track what are open/closed submissions even if also posting in the open forums, as not all moderators read all the regional forums
