Boston hospitals DMR systems

#1 Post by n1riw » 08 Oct 2019 18:29

I have had to frequently go to Boston to take a family member to several different hospitals:

I have confirmed the following two security channels:

Brigham and Women's Hospital: 464.875 TG 10 CC1 Slot 2

Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital: 464.625 TG 23 CC7 Slot 1

Now the interesting part-Dana Farber Cancer Institute:
I programmed in all listed frequencies:
461.375, 461.5375, 461.8625, 463.4625, 463,4875
Nothing heard using DMR conventional but set up as a trunk the radio indicated a
capacity+ system. LCN finder would not show LCN order or even a system ID but
listing in trunk mode traffic was heard. Several TGs in the 100s and 110s
The frequncies 461.5375 and 461.8625 were on a single license and I believe the active ones
TG 114 is Parking
There were also TGs with a "i" which I believe were private calls

If anyone has more info in this system I'd appreciate it
Thanks
TC

I've run into a similar issue with the Dana Farber Capacity Plus system, the only LCN I've found is 461.5375 where I got LCN 2. I only get intermittent reception of the system from my location. For talkgroups I also got 114 for parking/valet ops. I also got TG 111 for security dispatch, and 100-105 seem to be various facilities operations.

While you're in the area, I'd be interested to see if you can pin down Children's security. It seems to have come in on 855.0875 CC9 TG1, but lately there only seem to be facilities operations on that frequency.

Not sure when I'll be in that area again but will try to check...

Children's Hospital has me stumped. There's 151.985 which is parking or something and I didn't receive security on their 800 MHz channel either.

Also, sorry this is off the DMR topic, but I also could not confirm the Shattuck or the Carney on their analog channels listed in the Wiki. Has anyone recently confirmed those?

What does the confirmation column say? That's your answer. If it is outdated, then it needs to be researched for it. (Which you can help us with , next time you're in Boston and feel like searching!)

Best to begin a new thread vs a Hijack, as it does tend to get lost in the weeds.

That said, I agree with Mike.
Richard there is so much to keep finding, next time you are in Boston, sounds like you have an on-site mission.

I think I might've finally found Children's Security after all this time, pretty much by accident. I had left in the freqs licensed to them on my 436 as a quick save system from a year ago and I finally got a hit. I'm getting 854.6875 Color Code 1, so far only TG 1 on Slot 1. It's coming in with a very faint signal, but of what I can make out it definitely sounds like Children's Security. They mentioned checking on a vehicle in the Blackfan garage, and covering desks. Hopefully someone else can confirm what I'm hearing and we can finally solve this mystery.
