TD Bank Garden Mototrbo

#1 Post by scannermaster » 07 Nov 2019 19:25

I posted a number of months ago that I was able to receive traffic on their 900 MHz Mototrbo system, but it was so sporadic and actually very little during games oddly. Lately I haven't received anything on their system. Does anyone know if they went full time encryption or what else might be going on with them? Is anyone receiving that system? Thanks.

By the way was at South Station recently and noticed the private security guards carrying what looked like Motorola analog portables. I seem to remember a frequency of 464.300. Listened and used Close Call for a while but didn't catch anything. Maybe I missed it but I didn't find anything searching the site for it.

I was able to run DSD+ on the system from near the duck boat ramp in the end of September. There was a Bruins exhibition game just ending and there was moderate traffic on the system.

Thanks. Do you have any details that's different than what's posted here or on RadioReference?

I wonder if something changed with the opening of that whole North Station facility and the Hub on Causeway shopping area, etc.

I don't recall the details of the layout, but those different Security TGs might be for different seating levels in the Garden.

Having gone to the Garden a number of times for work, and usually having my radio on me, I can tell you from the "off" times of the following.

TG 110 is used by the entry gate security to the security office upstairs. If they use the radio, but more often than not, they call.
111 is the primary channel, where the building patrols live on.
112 is their secondary channel. If there is a larger event, I've heard them using this channel for "chit chat".

When the Security office had to contact our contact at the Garden, he came up on 101, which is Operations. He switched his portable to call the guy.

With all that said, I've never been in the building during an actual sporting event (other than a fan in the stands, Go :celtics: !!). They usually have stricter rules during them, and because the media equipment room is at "parquet level" inside the building, I believe you have to be escorted to the technical rooms during the events.

Would this indicate the CC is 3?

If he's using DSDPlus, which is what it looks like, that appears to be a pseudo network ID. I generally use a four digit number for that, but there is no requirement other than that there be one for DSDPlus to track Cap+ systems.

The system requirements for trunking in DSDPlus are,

Protocol, Network ID, Site number, OTAchannelnumber, TXFrequency, RXfrequency, Sort order.

So, 3 would be the network ID, which Cap+ systems don't broadcast as do Con+ systems.

According to RR, the CC is 0.

Duh!, Sorry... yeah I just named it Network 3 to separate it from other CAP+ systems I monitor with DSD.

OH, and RR has very good information on the TD Garden system, including TGs and users.
