Re: Concord Hospital NH

Hello,

Epstein Center for Behavioral Health is at Salem MA hospital. Epstein 4 would be the fourth floor. The hospital is interesting as it is on a hill and uses a common floor numbering across buildings. Some buildings do not have floor 1 and 2.

Nantucket P25 800 Trunked

Hello, I was on the island yesterday for the first time and briefly listened to the Nantucket P25 800 Trunked system. I noticed the Wiki has a different NAC listed. The system is P2 capable as it has both FDMA and TDMA in the frequency mapping for both 700 MHz and 800 MHz. P25 BEE00-3A6 NAC 3A0 Site...

Re: NEAR-Fest is not Optional!!! Oct 11th & 12th 2019

Hello,

Enjoyed NEAR-Fest on Friday and even found something to buy.

Weather conditions were a lot better at NEAR-Fest compared to down south. Ski Areas suffer from the same problem. They can have plenty of snow, but people do not think about skiing unless there is snow down south.

Hello, I recently took a trip out to Crown Point, NY and stayed in Rutland, VT on the way back. I picked up some more information on this system. Encrypted talkgroup 11500 was active on sites 10 and 11 over a weekend. Likely in the Rutland VT area. I could copy sites 9, 10, 11, and 12 at various tim...

Re: Westfield State Maintenance

Hello, Conventional DMR uses 24 bits for talkgroups and radio ids, so 16777215 is valid for a talkgroup. The radio id does not have to be 16777215. Connect Plus has the same limits. Motorola Capacity Plus uses 255 as the all-call talkgroup because Motorola reduced down the range of valid talkgroups ...

Hello, I found out the reason my old Vizio HDTV was missing a few channels and renaming others. I had "Additional Scan" set to on, which just adds to the existing channel table. When I turned it off, I regained WFXT and WGBH showed up on channel 2. I had to do something similar for locals on my DISH...

Hello, I got TSReader Lite working in Windows 7! I had to use the last non-beta release driver. It is interesting looking at the streams and see what channels share the RF channel. One obvious problem is the engineers at the repacked stations did not change their ATSC channel number. It looks like m...

Hello, The old 900 MHz analog license lists 765 Oak St, but the coordinates are near the tower at 749 Oak. The ASR shows Pinnacle Towers LLC as the owner. It indicates the tower was built in 2002 at 128.3 Meters (420 Ft). So any dispute must have been settled. WQRC-FM transmitter is licensed at the ...

Re: ICE MotoTRBO TRS Decoding Project

Hello, I forgot to mention that 935.1625 and 936.2125 are control and voice channels for Site 134-14. I found it interesting that Site 14 in Orleans only has Kingston, Quincy, and Site 11 in the neighbors list. That seemed to indicate that Site 11 is east of Site 12 in Falmouth. I suspected Site 11 ...

The neighbors list was 11 01 11 02, so I do not know if it another site was intended to be included. Color ...

Hello, One useful capability of the SDRPlay is reception of the whole 900 MHz trunked band. I set the LO for 937.50625 and sampling rate to 6 MSPS. Hello,

It seems like existing site licenses were kept and newer sites were licensed under the Market-based licenses. I have seen it in other cases as well.

I remember a tow company was on the old UHF LTR system in Waltham, but can not remember the name.

I just found TG 573, which is a towing company in Boston. A better ID is needed. I've only found it on Site 32 so far, but it should also show up on at least the two other Boston sites. Also, I think I finally found site 32 on this system. I haven't confirmed it yet, but it appears to be located on...

Hello,

It was the weekend, so very light radio traffic. I did see one non-DMR frequency come up, but I was not logging the Motorola system at the time. It could have been a transmitter self-test.
