Re: SDS200
The South Plymouth antenna on zone 3 was recently replaced with a new 9db gain antenna. I do have a question on the SD 100 and 200 scanners. how is the reception near cell sites ? I have been using Motorola equipment but that will end with the start of phase two.

Now I'm pretty good with these things but I cannot figure this one out. I think some of the buttons on the fro...

Here I am in Sarasota county flash. Listening to the county p 25 county system. I was going to try to listen to via star police but they have a new VHF trunk system. They used to just use a bunch of VHF channels and weren't too hard to get. I was able to get Ct. And NJ state police. I am going to tr...

If the vehicle battery is weak when you crank the starter the voltage to the radio will drop pretty low. I have seen this cause issues in some radios

I'm putting some P-25 into my 996T. NHSP and Grafton Cnty NH to be specific. Are you able to program the NAC code into this scanner ? I'm actually more familiar with Moto stuff. This is a little different to me.

I was able to use my VHF repeater here in Sandwich all the way up to MHQ in Marlboro 09/02 in the AM. Going back to the Cape at 13:00 hours I was unable to duplicate this feat ! Today I was able to copy Dedham Fire while listening to the Sandwich EOC/School dept Repeater monitor on 453.6875.

I just was at Ft. devens doing EVOC today. This is were they distribute the new cruisers. They all had lowbands. Some had ball and spring some had coil loaded antennas. As for the Larson antennas on the Marblehead cars. If the loading coils are about two inches tall they are VHF. Any higher thet are...

I also got some newer ones that have ADP already. I am having fun figuring out how to set these radio's up. So far so good. I ...

The Harvard Square Riots and The Chelsea fire contibuted to the effort to start BAPERN . The change over in Newton started just before the blizzard of 78. They were simulcas...

Newton ma. PD had Link brand radios until 1965. You could hear NPD on an AM radio just outside of the broadcast band. Same freq as LAPD. The cuisers would talk back on 37 megs. In 1965 they went to 45.82 KCA692. This was until 1978 when they joined BAPERN. While listening to Newton PD in the sixties...
