Many of our UNIDs, where known by others, so add to the list your UNIDs and maybe someone will see it and tell you who it really is A reminder we have a ever growing-changing list of UNIDs out of the area in the WIKI... https://www.snewiki.com/wiki/index.php/Unidentified_Digital_Radio_Systems_in_our...

Re: General Attic Antenna Observation - Looking For Input
So you are going up and changing the cable from Antenna One to Antenna Two each time for testing ? Trying to get a clearer understanding. Also as Jeremy points out, altho the two antennas are in an almost identical position, they are not One could be shading the others reception, or there is somethi...

Re: General Attic Antenna Observation - Looking For Input
Are you comparing the Same Freq on both antenna's ? with the same Radio ? Different radios handle the P25 slightly different, especially with Simulcast transmitters [different sites transmitting at the same time - mostly an issue with Trunking] Also it could be something with your cables, connection...

https://www.snewiki.com/wiki/index.php/Massachusetts_Fire_Tone_Outs Nothing different from a normal Monitoring/Scanning. Answers to your questions, all are "Depends" - no stock/standard answer. Do you need DMR... who around you is using DMR [mostly business ops, but some government] who do you plan [think future too] on monitoring... see what the Wiki shows currently for that county and state Do you need an external a...

Re: How do I monitor this???
See if you can tune to it first, before wasting your time configuring for something out of your range. OK Thanks...I will try to set this up again and see if it works. The problem I was having wasn't reception cause I havent got that far yet. The problem was ERRORS showing up in activity log when I ...

Re: How do I monitor this???
IGNORE the Radius information from RR, it is only an approximation and all depends on your actual set-up [YMMV] I can hear systems well beyond the RR approximations and then there are others I can not hear at all and I am within that radius Also you have gone too deep right away, back out to [back o...

Re: How do I monitor this???
Didn't DSD+ come with many of the major systems already defaulted ? Wow this SDR radio is VERY complicated! I always keep getting screwed up with all the damn NUMBERS!!! Re: How do I monitor this???
I would suggest spending time with the documents of DSD+ and your SDR for help. As to a scanner, all depends on the software you are going to purchase/use, many are very intuitive, if you spend time to digest/read thru it more than once and have it avail for reference regularly Not having a DMR Radi...
