Re: Dukes County (MV) New Radio System (Was 156.2175 Part II)

1030 AM, reported it was Cancelled "during my morning Dunk's run", however seems to be some retraction of the full DQ and now "scaled down"

For anyone down in the area, this might be a good day to listen to those new frequencies. With the large Obama birthday party going on radios might be active.

Go into SEARCH and manually see if you can even hear the Control Channel. IF Yes, then experiment with location, location, location of your antenna and type of antenna Is this a back of set antenna ? Even moving a fraction of an inch can make a difference or a Base ? If back of set, even try less An...

Re: Thoughts on live feeds for PDs?

Totally understand the Multiple agency feed, being frustrating when as a casual listener you are trying to keep track of the big incident, but as Scott says, having multiple keeps the Bad Guy from hearing it all from the dedicated channel, when it alternates between PD/FD , Town 1, Town 2, Town 3 Bu...

Yes this was for the "55" teams aka Speed Enforcement. As to Low Band Portables, the only item some cruisers had was a VHF High portable 154.9200 as a Pac/RT As to the MDC the original 800 Radios were the STX, same as Massport My recollection is that it was used for traffic enforcement, maybe only p...

Re: MSP Use of Low Band VHF?

All depends on who the Dispatcher is on-duty, some select all Talk Groups [C-PTL-1 thru ?] others may select C ATG [Announcement TG] and some also select the low band

In case your font makes it look like the letter "S" like mine, a NAC is usually indicated by a dollar sign "$" with tiny bumps on top and bottom instead of a line all the way down.

Otherwise you are looking at new Pagers, Portables, Base Stations, Apparatus Radios, which would be expensive Th...
