Re: 158.425 Analog

I would concur, someone has a foreign or modified VHF Marine Radio or found how to set "Selected" Secret channels. Many of the older ICOM [M55 is one] Marine radios had a Private Set of channels. This is was Ch.108 in duplex Scott see if you get the other pair from the Duplex at 163.0250 [Yes, in our...

Re: 451.49375 IDAS

I thought it would have been 451.5000 [using a Scanner for DMR] but it could be .49375 Hearing constant data "pulses" followed by the occasional conversation on TG 1-80, which sounds like a transportation company. Heard the other week comms about "going into Waltham". Today heard comms about coming ...

453.9250

Even with the NH DOT heard and a CWID well into Weymouth, we have an unknown DMR user on this frequency. 453.9250 R CC07 - no SLOTS or Talkgroups presented so far and the best signal is with a North/Northeast beam and it can be heard off the backside, but nothing toward Plymouth or Metro West. With ...

Re: 461.5625 DMR

Good Catch, used to get the Analog here in Weymouth but Nadda from the DMR :( We asked the top 3 people their answer. "Who is the user on the frequency above?" Top Answer... Survey Says BI Milton. Got it in the parking lot, close called on one scanner and no antenna on my SDS-100. The communications...

Re: 125.000 mhz AM

Don't rule that out as your only source, move systematically room by room and/or breaker to breaker Only by actually shutting off the power, and then for the Fridge returning power and waiting for it to kick in will confirm this. The Fridge at home is pretty old and noisy and i noticed when it does ...

Re: 461.5625 DMR

Since you are closer to the Harvard site, it does need an updated reconfirmation as the only thing I get is the beacon not TG's even when left on over a 24 hrs period from my QTH https://www.snewiki.com/wiki/index.php/Massachusetts_Colleges#Harvard_University.2C_Cambridge Last we had for Milton was ...

Re: 125.000 mhz AM

My first guess / suggestion is a local source of interference. Just like Scanners have Birdies and other interference issues. I would begin by turning devices in the house off, by either unplugging them or work one by one thru each Circuit Break Once that is done, you can rule out the local source[s]

Re: 461.5625 DMR

Only had CC 15 heard from Weymouth back in December, and in my to sit on it more list [bumped up in schedule just for you] CC 11 is there in the weeds, and not able to get a better direction with the beam as CC 15 pops up at the same time For the past month or so I've been picking DMR traffic on 461...

General Quincy/South Shore area.

TGS heard on it include 109, 110.

159.9125 isn't in the standard FCC channel plan, which makes this even more interesting.

Re: General Attic Antenna Observation - Looking For Input

So you are going up and changing the cable from Antenna One to Antenna Two each time for testing ? Trying to get a clearer understanding. Also as Jeremy points out, altho the two antennas are in an almost identical position, they are not One could be shading the others reception, or there is somethi...

Re: General Attic Antenna Observation - Looking For Input

Are you comparing the Same Freq on both antenna's ? with the same Radio ? Different radios handle the P25 slightly different, especially with Simulcast transmitters [different sites transmitting at the same time - mostly an issue with Trunking] Also it could be something with your cables, connection...

As had been mentioned, always program "ALL" of the Control channels for the Zone/Site you want to monitor, as the Control Channels [CC] do tend to rotate as needed.
