Re: New Boston Area CoMIRS TGs

I Thought Zone A Ch.11 was a Tactical Simplex [on-scene channel] from the UHF Radios [BFD 11D now BFD 11S] Too far out of the city to catch that one. http://bfdradio.net/BFD%20Channel%20Plan.pdf That definitely has been Ch.11 in the past, I think OPS 1 being Ch.11 is a very recent change with the n...

Re: New Boston Area CoMIRS TGs

It was a Chelsea engine that I heard. Maybe on the Revere frequency which was patched to the TG, but Chelsea. All of the MBHSR agencies have radios with all of the others programmed in so it wouldn't be a surprise to hear them. Ahh that sounds about right, Cheslea and Revere end up covering each ot...

Re: New Boston Area CoMIRS TGs

I heard 4161 talking to what I think is Boston Fire Alarm. They were cleared and heading back to quarters. Seems like it might be a Metro Fire talk group, not a specific Chelsea one. 4161 has been Revere Fire for the past few days, sounds like you're confusing it with 4121 which has been Chelsea Po...

Correct, so far all of the Metro Fire talkgroups have been in Cambridge's range. Metro South isn't very active so it might take us a while before anyone confirms it! :pint:

New Boston Area CoMIRS TGs

Few new talkgroups have been coming up on the Metro Boston 700 site this week. 1089 - Unknown patch (Maybe Metro Fire South?) 1091 - Metro Fire North District (Patch to 482.2500) 3605 - State Radio Techs Encrypted 3665 - Unknown P2 Encrypted (Radio IDs match MSP Portables and MBHSR range) 4121 - Che...

started hearing this on Fri 3/13 & on a daily basis, a new talkgroup 57680 {CoMIRS P25 3605} (unknown user), but they are encrypted full time. unable to hear who it is.?. edited 1:34pm: just found another new one, talkgroup 59408 {CoMIRS P25 3713} (unknown user), encrypted. Just curious, does anyone know which model APX portable are the MSP starting to use? I have seen a quite a few with APX's. Is it 6000 800's or 7000 800/UHF or 8000's.
New Troopers from the past few RTTs have been issued APX6000s, as well as some of the higher ranking brass.

My personal opinion, I would add this under "Public Safety Talkgroups" heading/title. seems to be the best suited... 691 | MEMA Simulcast | MEMA VHF statewide repeater simulcast | 2019.07.06 sawyer100 add under "Police Department Talkgroups": 4375 | F4 TRAFFIC | Traffic Enforcement | Encrypted (ful...

Those are both Worcester Airport Talkgroups
185 is ORH OPS and 51 is ORH FIRE

Re: Logan/MassPort TGs

I'm unfortunately too far away to hear Hanscom's conventional freq, I've had it in the scanner for a few years now without hearing a thing. I haven't heard a ton of traffic on 31, but I'm not sure if it's only active when someone from Logan is speaking (like Troop F or Massport Fire Alarm.) TG 507 ...

Re: Logan/MassPort TGs

on TG31, I was hearing sealcoating operations for Runways 5 and 23, which are both at Hanscom. I also heard them mention, "the Air Force ramp," which would further make sense for Hanscom. Interestingly, I heard "Station F to Hanscom" on TG31 as well, requesting "Hanscom" check on a group of suspect...

Yep. I verified it is Site 31 from my SDS200 receiving it. On my drive in today as well I also verified it's Simulcasting. I'm not sure what broadcast location I pick up at home in Woodbury (As Middlebury is blocked from me), but I verified both this and "Troop A Simulcast" is being broadcast from ...

Verified the Troop L control frequency on the Type-II system is dead in Woodbury. I checked and found a control channel for P25 CSERN system utilizing a old Troop L 800mhz frequency on the new CSERN P25 system. This was an old Alternate Control Channel for the SmartZone system, makes sense so the r...

So just for an idea West Haven for instance will be 25601,11560 or 10157, I'm a bit confused as you're saying to add 10001 to the tax code West Haven (Tax code 156) would be 256xx talk groups, 10001 + 15600 = 25601 so that would be there first possible TG. (Note West Haven does not haven any plans ...

Re: CT new radio system activity

I think those were all added around the time of rebanding, 2012 perhaps? As you show, about half are secure talk groups. the others are clear. When the P25 upgrade is complete, it is looking like many of the interop talkgroups will be realigned to a new template. This is probably why there are some...
