Re: Pan-Am RR now NXDN ???

Pan Am was still NFM yesterday, no plans that I'm aware of for them to change. The digital sound the poster on RR is hearing on 160.1625 is probably the station being discussed in this thread: http://www.scan-ne.net/sne/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=41370 New Hampshire Northcoast is NXDN on 160.275, and Keol...

Re: Newfields FD

Confirmed this morning; Newmarket ambulance and Newfields rescue were toned to a medical call in Newfields. All comms on 155.430/D606.
I wonder if Newfields PD is on the Newmarket frequency; 155.370/$460. Newfields IDs would be 420-439 and Newmarket 460-479.

Newfields FD

I just heard Newmarket put out a tone test for all Newmarket and Newfields firefighters, this was on 155.430/D606 (Newmarket FD primary). Newfields has been dispatched by Rock. County for a few years now on Seacoast, 154.190/136.5, and prior to that was dispatched by Newmarket but on the Seacoast fr...

Re: Lifeflight of Maine - Question

It seem like when Lifeflight 4 gets toned out, they initially respond on 451.775; but once airborne, I hear the helo calling Medcomm "on Streaked" on the air-ground (repeater input) to the 453.650 system.

Are Chester and Auburn still on 154.130?
And is Windham 154.175 still simplex or a repeater now?

160.770, PL 123.0: "9-1 to headquarters, the debris at 10 south has been removed." The responding "10-4" was heard on both 160.77 and 151.67 slot 2, but I didn't catch the TG.

Re: MAINE TURNPIKE DOT

151.670, Slot 1 , CC6 "Headquarters answering toll calling?", and nothing further. My CS751 was showing TG 30001? 151.670 is transmitting a data burst every second, as is 153.6875 (another frequency licensed to RCM). I'm not as adept at DMR-fu as some others on this forum may be, but the odd TG numb...

Re: 151.670 DMR - State Highway?

Probably Maine Turnpike Authority, see:
http://www.scan-ne.net/sne/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=41246
That frequency is licensed to RCM at Mt Agamenticus.

Re: MAINE TURNPIKE DOT

I have not heard and MTA Maintenance on 151.13 all winter. Ops traffic on 160.77 is much quieter than in the past, and I can't copy anything on 151.07 or 452.45 from as far south as I usually am. State Police TGs 711 (Zone 1) and 715 (Troop G/Turnpike HQ) are quite busy on MSCOMMNET. I don't have DM...

Re: MAINE TURNPIKE DOT

The York MTA repeater is still active on 160.770, PL 123.0, however it is not nearly as busy as it has been in the past. Perhaps it no longer repeats the 151.070 Falmouth repeater, and is stand alone now? Maintenance has been quiet on 151.130 for me so far.

Re: MAINE TURNPIKE DOT

There are two different agencies; Maine Turnpike Authority plows should be on the 151.130 repeaters, with a different PL for each site. Maine DOT plows would be on the low-VHF repeater/simplex system. Honestly, I haven't tried to monitor either yet this year, but I'll plug them in and try to get a c...

City of Westbrook

Westbrook PD is back to using analog NFM on 155.130; however with a 186.2 tone, not the 173.8 they used before switching to DMR. I did monitor Westbrook Fire in DMR mode; 154.370, Color Code 4, Slot 1, Talkgroup 4500.

Re: Railroad Defect Detection - 457.9125

457.9375 isn't defect detection, it's brake pipe pressure telemetry send from the rear of the train to the head end. 452.9375 is head to tail telemetry. This data is sent via packet bursts, not DTMF. Co-channel interference wouldn't be a problem, since each packet burst has the marker/receiver numbe...

Those two are part of the common Target channel plan; Ch2 is 467.775 and 3 is 467.925, but I don't recall their DPLs off the top of my head. The are channels 5 and 6, too, but these are only in radios obtained by executive/Asset Protection personnel.

Re: MSCommNet SDS100 reception question

Are you trying to monitor the Gray RCC site only? I would try adding the Ossipee Mountain, Mt Agamenticus, and York DOT sites. These probably have better coverage south of Portland than the Gray tower does. As for an antenna, any VHF high band should do just fine. I use a dual band 2m/440 MHz ham an...

Low VHF and 800 MHz weren't required to narrowband, only VHF high and UHF. 900 MHz was narrow from the beginning.
