Re: NEW: KMHT & Merrimack Premium Outlets Freq

Unknown Retail Frequency heard on Close Call: 467.875 DPL of 723 That would be GUESS! , the clothing store. If you ever wonder about a mystery store frequency, a good rule of thumb is to check our common store frequency chart. https://www.snewiki.com/wiki/index.php/Common_Standard_Department_Store_...

It may be location, you may be having some sort issue with LSM distortion.

Also I've taken you off of the moderation queue, so you can post without approval.

Re: Plymouth PD P25

So the thing with P25 is if the reception is poor, it'll sound encrypted and the scanner may even indicate that it's encrypted. How's your reception been so far prior to today?

You don't. It shouldn't affect your normal reception. Make sure you have a NAC programmed in so it doesn't stop.

Re: Plymouth PD P25

I listened to PlymouthPD last night. Thank you for all your assistance. I have a BCD536. In the upper right side of the screen, instead of p25 it is now indicating CAP. What does that mean? It means you are picking up the Capacity Plus system as well on the frequency. If you have the NAC programmed...

Re: Plymouth PD P25

Surprisingly the x36 Uniden scanners do fairly well with LSM. Not like the SDS, but they do handle it good. Better than the 996P2s that some on RR claim are God's gift to scanning.

Re: Plymouth PD P25

I find that with the 436HP, unless you're right up on the transmitter, it can handle the 25 KHz spacing without any issues. I fully suspect based on my knowledge of my receive conditions at my house and other reports, that the signal is definitely subpar to the old one. Now again the system is also ...

The new P25 signal from Plymouth is terrible. Absolutely one of the worst conversions I've seen so far. Where I live it's barely breaking squelch. FM was open far to the South West. VHF open as well. Putnam County NY was clear as a bell on 495 this morning, as was the Long Island "usual suspects".

Heard Philly on the FM dial. 96.5, 101.1, and 106.1 all came in.

I've seen this in other areas too.

I've also seen call sign numbers become NAC codes. (i.e. WNPQ629 has a NAC of "629").

Around here, of course we have some common ones like 270 or city exchanges.
