You can set a quick key for the site and turn it on and off using the keypad. Yep, I am aware. Was looking for the short cut that Sven mentioned below... What happens if you press the function knob then lockout? I don't have my scanner in front of me to test, but I believe that may do what you want...

I don't have a ton of experience with my 996P2. When trunking, is there an easy way to lock out a site like there is to the x36 and SDS?

I'm at a loss as to how the system can deal with affiliations and direct radios to specific frequencies without a control channel, but it seems to work somehow. To be honest, that is quite unusual. On the MSCommNet system, we have listed the six conventional sites as trunking sites. Are these sites strictly just two channel conventional repeaters that act as patches?

It's an unusual setup and I was curious how they actually worked with the trunk...

Just to add, after you attach the file, you'll see the dialog come up and it will give the option to "Place inline". Select that to put the image into the body of the post you make about it!

Based on my driving today, to and from various points, I suspect this is coming from the Pine Hills AW4 transmitter.

It's not transmitting a PL, so regular users aren't hearing it.

I just upgraded my shack with a SDS200. I was using my attic antenna with a RG6 cable to a cable tv splitter one going into a spare tv and the other into SP-1300 splitter going into 996P2 and PRS-600. Needing another connection to the SDS200 I purchased the Stridsberg Multicoupler. Working great so...
