Re: Plymouth PD Alternate Channel
I almost always monitor this channel on July 3rd, as it's the only time they utilize it. Most recent PL tone was 67.0. It was something else before that. It may have been 203.5 but I'm thinking it was something else? I just checked the Plymouth County Sheriff's Dept. website, as they have listings ...

Re: Very strange anomaly on C-PTL-1 at around 12:50PM (Zone 8)
Listening on my BC-895 scanner at around the time mentioned in the subject line C-PTL-1 came up on TG 833 for one transmission and went back to its normal TG 33840 after that. Any ideas? Mike Darche Auburn, MA My guess is your scanner's receiver got corrupted data on the control channel data stream...

Re: Bristol (RI) 4th of July Radio Monitoring
It's true , up until at least 2019, 1744 , was actually fully encrypted. You're right in the past they were. However last night I heard 1744 come across in the clear, which was surprising to me. When I saw it, I added it. If it goes back encrypted we'll just update the wiki.

Hey Mark
I'm hearing that here too. I had only ever heard 67.0. What other tones did they use?

Re: Bristol (RI) 4th of July Radio Monitoring
Similar to last year the Bristol, RI Police are operating their Mobile Command Post this evening (July 3rd) for the fireworks scheduled to be set off at 21:30. The Mobile Command Post is operating on 453.2000 DMR Repeater with Slot 2 and Color 3. At 18:45 they did a roll call radio check with 41 po...

VHF and UHF are both very open at the moment. I have several North Shore departments in crystal clear, including some businesses.
Beverly, Lynn, Salem, Everett, Medford all in like a local here. Salem State College, Wheelbarator out of Saugus both are in.
Working on a growing list.

As a newbie, I'm wondering if there are any volunteer Coaches out there that can work with someone like me. That is likely an issue with Butel and their software. My confirmation is everything on RR's end is correct.

Re: BearCom RDC
It depends on what the RRDB downloads for Channel numbers. You need the correct numbers for the scanner to follow the sites. The SNE Wiki has the correct info. If what you downloaded from the RRDB doesn't match you need to edit what's in ARC536. RR has the correct LCN/Channel Numbers for BearCom RDC.

Heard while in Hopkinton today
464.7750 DCC07 TG15 TS02
"Maria can come on down"
and
"They are going to reset the smoke machine".
Not super chatty. Not in our wiki or on RR.

I know no one seemingly uses this forum anymore, so I am likely only posting this for myself.
Low Band has been open to the midwest all day long. Ohio, Missouri, etc.
FM has been up and down to Florida today too.
