Re: Dukes County (MV) New Radio System (Was 156.2175 Part II)

Too early to tell for now. Many of us are still trying to figure out who's who on these new frequencies but feel free to add in any information you have, thanks.

Re: MSP Zone 4 Digital T/G E430 - 58416

Does the system type need to be changed to digital in order to hear this, or can the talk group just be entered? I put this into one of my scanners but as of now have not caught anything.

Re: Dukes County (MV) New Radio System (Was 156.2175 Part II)

I loaded in all "known" analog frequencies for Dukes County into 2 of my digital scanners. Will check for any analog reception.

Possible ID for ICE System

I have been monitoring the ICE trunk system here on Cape Cod, and I'm fairly certain I have identified an unknown user on this system. Talk group is 255, and I keep hearing drivers say "Lighthouse XXX", or references to Lighthouse. It's listed in the wiki as a bus company on Cape Cod, and I believe ...

Sandwich PD has gone back to their talk group on the MSP system again. I wonder if the conventional 800MHz system they have is aging?

Re: Trouble receiving Cape Fire.

If you have the Mass State Police Trunk System programmed properly to receive Zone 4 then you just program in the talk group of the specific department you want to monitor. All the information for talk group numbers are in the wiki section of the website here.

Re: Trouble receiving Cape Fire.

I'll take it a step further. Program in all known control channels as well as all other frequencies within that system/zone. You can't go wrong doing it this way. Modern scanners can do control channel only trunking, in which the scanner will figure out the rest but if you have them all programmed a...

Re: Interoperability channel?

I think Bourne FD has UHF radios in the trucks and can switch directly to Plymouth FD if they go on a mutual aid call. I think the same can be said regarding Wareham.

Re: Interoperability channel?

When this happens they patch a Plymouth County Mutual Aid Channel to the Cape department in question. In this case it was patching Plymouth Fire to Bourne Fire and OPS-1. If you monitor both the Plymouth County M/A channel and the OPS channel there is a one second delay on the Plymouth M/A channel. ...

RDC Communications Talk Group

Just heard Talk Group 3204 simulcasting a USCG Ch.16 broadcast. This is in the wiki as a possible US Towboats talk group. Not sure if this is one and the same but from the sounds of it it's definitely USCG Ch.16.

Freescan Software

Is this software still out there? I have it on my computer to program a couple of my scanners, but has it been updated in the past few years? I'm not seeing anything new, even with a Google search.

I gave up on monitoring that, as it never sounded good at all, poor reception and audio. 460.425 is still active and sounds fine. I don't know if SFD got rid of that one?

Re: RDC Network 178 official thread.

I can confirm talk group 3601 on this system is Falmouth School Buses. Comms this morning mentioned the Lawrence school, which is on Lakeview Ave, and Woods Hole Road. It's listed in the wiki as First Student school bus/Sandwich schools. Re-confirming that talk group 3602 is Sandwich school buses.

Re: Harwich DMR / my crib list for Beaches on Cape

On the x36 series scanners, you have to program in at least one TG. You can't just run it without any TGs programmed, I find it won't decode anything. It's a weird bug that seems to have appeared with later firmware. Even if it's a bogus TG, I find having none make it not decode when setup as a MOT...

Re: Harwich DMR / my crib list for Beaches on Cape

Have it programmed as MOTOTRBO Trunk system. Frequencies are in order as noted above, 856.1625 and 858.1625. I have it set ti ID Search. Under color code I have it as color code search, not sure if/how to change it to CC7? I should be hearing it here in Sandwich I think?

How active is this system? I've had it programmed in my BCD436 for several days now, and nary a peep heard.
