155.0700 has been a birdie in GRE scanners for years. I had several that had that, until PL came about and I could squelch it.
I'm all uniden. And in fact Motorola radios sometimes tend to pick it up as well on 155.070

Re: Tail Squelch

Are you getting that while trying to listen to Charlton PD? I have never tracked it down but have historically (10-15 years) had exactly what you are talking about while listening to Charlton PD on that frequency.

So I can't remember my last post, but it's got to be at least 3 years ago. In fact there was a period of time where I was checking this site once every couple months and would have 7-10 pages of unread threads if not more. The last couple months I find myself making more frequent visits, I think mor...

Central Mass DCR Fire Towers Feeds

Back by popular demand (err Special Request), Given the significant start to this brush fire season along with the dry conditions, I've relaunched my Fire Tower Feed that was previously available in Teamspeak. This is launched and available through Radio Reference Now. Scanned frequencies include DC...

I personally think the blackened backgrounds are great and like the look in general. That just happened to be one spot that it lacks in my opinion. Certainly not a make or break and I understand they are basically early stage Betas, just wasn't sure if there was a small file somewhere that was as si...

I have a request on this one after about a week of using the blackened red skin, and the blackened is similar. The little indicator on a post header (just to the left of the date) that indicates read vs. unread, is that something you have control over? I am finding it very difficult if not near impo...

I'd have to second Bill that nothing was different today at work, but I see it now. My one comment would be who cares about the Marston Mills weather? lol, JK! I like the nav column

I was suggesting it on the idea that I believe one of the SOPS is used at the talkaround for the CPTL3 cars.

WCSO is still using LPS-8. LPS-7 is seeing increased town to town use and being away this week monitoring my feed, I was actually considering adding it into my feed when I get back. You're call Joe. I Would think it makes more sense to have LPS-7 in my feed since I have the locals and there is minim...

John, would it jog your memory if I mentioned having a discussion in TS with someone (i'd swear you) that said the feed was running from a site that person had...

Notifications not going to Yahoo Groups

Not sure if anyone else is seeing problems or if it is just related to Yahoo Groups, but I receive my Incident Notification alerts on my email through the Yahoo group. It just occurred to me that I haven't been getting them. Just checked, and the last notification I received was on 5/18. I thought m...

After reading through some threads on RR, they all indicate that in order to use serproxy/talkgroup monitor setup that you must also use oddcast/edcast or simplecast but that icecast is not needed. As I'm not interested in the cost of simplecast and can't find my installer from the past (which I hav...

Based upon running a port test, port 80 appears blocked. Checked through the router, not seeing it blocked in there anywhere. I am assuming its being blocked by Charter... Anyway around this?

Still no go. Oh well, tomorrow is another day.

Just one last question for today, nothing computer wise that I need to do is there? Note that I have never successfully run a feed off of this computer with tags. This is a new setup.

Ben, I am not succeeding with this. Which programs do I need to have running? Just Talkgroup montior, serproxy, and scanner cast or do I also need icecast? What settings am I using related to tags in Scannercast if any?

Thanks Scott.

Believe it or not, the wayback machine (archive.org) was able to get me to a 2008 copy of the WIKI that still had the simplecast tutorial which shows it was $59 back then. Far more reasonable than the $199 it is today.

The alpha tags might just be a thing of the past for my feed.

Thanks Scott. I am familiar with ScannerCast and do use it for streaming to RR. I also stream to several local public safety sites with what I've been told is a popular feature to people in the area who listen while at work, alpha tags. My feed scanner is a BC785D which is not supported through Scan...
