Re: Update Issues

Good work. I plan to continue as I have time hitting random Wiki pages and checking on external links. Websites come and go with some regularity, even government ones. So, as with frequency information, it makes sense to reconfirm them from time to time. All 2,009 wiki pages have been viewed and tho...

Re: Update Issues

I took a look at it, but I don't think I changed anything. At least not on purpose. On the VT and RI military pages, I removed the formatting characters that were causing issues, but nothing else. I've correcting the external links that returned 404 messages when I can find updated pages. Those aren...

I noticed that the VT military and the RI military links in the wiki load as blank pages. Also, I would be pulling my hair out working my way through the bugs. Great job you guys, a lot of patience and sacrificing your free time. Appreciate it on this end.

Re: Update Issues

I figured it out after a bit. That message applies to new/updated passwords only. I guess it will nag me to do something, but allow me to just click through with the old one. Kind of weird, but not a problem.

Re: Update Issues

The Wiki now seems to require a ten character password. Can that be changed or do we need new passwords?

Re: Idea - wiki page with common frequency errors

I have found that even the newer SDR dongles need some adjustment based on what band you're trying to listen to. Airspy is the only hardware that is always spot on. On my mobile set up, I always "calibrate" the control dongle first on a known system. Once that's done, I'll adjust the voice dongle. S...

I'm hearing the One Voice Paxton site on 484.9625 and 464.7625. I hear them now and then, when the conditions are right.

I'll be up with a friend Friday. We plan to leave as early as possible in the morning, but arrival time will depend on Boston traffic. We'll be there most of the day, as long as my friend isn't too whiny. Can't make Saturday. I keep asking for you at the GEMOTO tent, but you never seem to be around.

Re: Marlborough Flea next Saturday 2/16/18

A really big crowd, but there always seems to be. Of course it's mid winter and there isn't a lot else to do. I actually spent more time on a phone call with a friend than I did wandering around the the tables. I did notice a good deal of not all that old commercial gear, especially Motorola. Nothin...

Re: Marlborough Flea next Saturday 2/16/18

I got there around 10:00 AM. Parking lot was crowded, as it always is. Seems like there were more sellers this year than the last time I went. I ended up getting a Dell 14" flat screen monitor for $2.00. I was actually looking for something smaller, but for that price I figured that if it didn't wor...

The PM remains in the outbox until the recipient reads it. If it still in the outbox, it hasn't been read.

Problem with PMs

Is anyone else having an issue sending Private Messages? I've sent a couple in the past few days, but they seem to be stuck in my Outbox. I get an acknowledgement that they were went, but it doesn't seem that they are actually being sent.

Re: Trunk88 and Unitrunker

That or some other none voice data used by someone. I don't know that I'll ever figure it out, but just getting UniTrunker back on line and playing with LTR Analyzer make the time well spent. It's a good reminder to me that all is not DMR and NXDN in the business radio world. :) The signal you menti...

Re: Trunk88 and Unitrunker

Update: 461.5000 appears to be the National Grid LTR Passport system in Lincoln, RI. One mystery solved. Back to the other frequency. This just gets more curious as I go along. 461.5125 has a constant control channel signal. It's not LRT, doesn't appear to be Motorola, and it's not digital. I'm lost...

Re: Trunk88 and Unitrunker

I got Unitrunker up and running. I can't use Version 2 because it requires a 64 bit version of Windows. As it happens my SDR computer is 32 bit. I downloaded and installed the highest version of Version 1, figured out how to get Airspy to wok, and got started listening to MSP Zone 5. That's the good...

Re: Trunk88 and Unitrunker

Thanks Chris. I found an older tutorial that I missed in my first search. I got Unitrunker working on MSP Zone 5. More accurately, I got the R820T2 dongle to follow the data on the control channel. I haven't had any luck getting it set up on the UHF system, but I'm going to try again now that I know...

Trunk88 and Unitrunker

It's been a couple of years since I've used either and I've pretty much forgotten how to set them up. I've found what appears to be an ICE analog UHF system on the Quincy tower. I don't know if it's active other than the control channel of 461.5125. DSD+ isn't going to help with that, so I decided t...

It was nice to see you again, John. The flea market was entertaining. That 536HP was a nice deal. I'd have been very tempted to grab it if it wasn't gone before they opened. Send it in for the RTC and display fixes and have a nice P2 capable scanner, along with the option for DMR and Pro Voice. Marl...

I hope I'm not threadjacking, but this seems like a good place to ask my questions. I've been thinking about replacing my still well performing Yaesu 8900 with something newer that also does DMR. I know that there are DMR Ham repeaters out there, but I don't know a whole lot about them. Two slot, mu...
