Re: News copters and buff networks: the highlights

Is anyone following what sounds like a plane crash or incident on the Cape? Not sure of the town but MedFlight is on the ground and Life Star out of CT is inbound.

I've been hearing traffic on Mid Cape Fire, TG 37968.

It looks like the WCVB helo is heading that way as well.

I heard the call it and the helo departed shortly after.

Re: News copters and buff networks: the highlights

The MSP list is somewhere in this thread. Air 4 is over I-84 near the CT state line right now. I think that the traffic on SOPS 7 is related to whatever it is. If we are going to list going forward....from asst notes N824AH MSP Air 4 N617TV WCVB CH-5 N55SL WHDH CH-7 N38BZ WBZ CH-4 Sometime ago there...

Re: News copters and buff networks: the highlights

Thanks for the information. I never used any of the filters except altitude. Filtering by description type is very helpful. There must be something going on in Cambridge as there are four news copters circling the area. Probably related to the President or those British people. Interesting about Fox...

Re: Quincy DPW

I heard TG 60 this morning while driving. Traffic was regarding a cancelled pick up of a person. From the context, my guess is some sort of "senior shuttle."

I just don't know if it was Quincy or someone else.

Maybe they're finally starting to expand usage.

Re: Some NH reconfirmations

Okay. I'll close this and move it to Processed Submissions. If you get a solid confirmation send it along. I think I was trying to pass off my indecisiveness to someone else. O:-) I'm reasonably confident it was them. The frequency and tone match, and it was police traffic. But there's a recent reco...

Re: Some NH reconfirmations

I did them all except for Bristol PD. Since you're not 100%, I'll leave this open for further comment by you. If you think it's accurate, that will be good enough for me.

Thanks for catching these relatively rare frequencies.

Re: News copters and buff networks: the highlights

The last I knew, they were sharing it with WBZ. They had one, but got rid of it along with their helicopter report. Doug something, I think. Someone else might have a better recollection. If you really want to be a geek, you can track the news helos on globe.adsbexchange.com. Set the altitude max to...

Re: Watertown Fire - P25

Yes, it was all the "odd" frequencies above 469.00 to start. The "even" numbers came along later on, although I don't recall exactly when. And UHF was the opposite. As someone who didn't live in MA until after narrowbanding, did they start out with 25 kHz spacing but using the &q...

Re: Watertown Fire - P25

I'd have to dig back through the memory banks to remember who else shared and have since gone to different frequencies. I think that there are a bunch in Plymouth County. Then again, I remember when a lot of towns shared 155.730 in both Plymouth and Norfolk Counties. Bill does as well. That's when B...

Re: Watertown Fire - P25

Early on with both FD and PD systems that was not that unusual. Some of the systems used different PLs and that actually decreased interference to the public safety users if not to scanner listeners. Bedford and Brockton share 482.7125, but with different PLs. Well, different Pls initially and now B...

Thank you again. I left those as was because I wasn't sure what was going on with them and the updates were pretty recent. I'll make the additional changes.

You don't by any chance have anything to do with the public works DMR system?

Re: CLMRN Bridgeport and Hartford sites.

I've reconfigured my FL so that only Bridgeport, New Britain, and Stamford are their own systems. All of the others have been programmed back into the CLMRN CSP part of the system as "Fill In" sites. I used that term only to keep from confusing myself. I won't be surprised to see Hartford ...

Re: CLMRN Bridgeport and Hartford sites.

Okay, i think i have it now. More reconfiguring to be done. I thought i read on RR that Hartford was building it's own site, but maybe not. CLMRN sites are all based on troop sites. (A, B, C.). Within those are fill in sites. (Old Lyme, Watertown, etc). Hartford I am pretty sure is also just a fill ...
