Re: Worcester Red Sox/Polar Park

I'd have seen that if I read all the way to the bottom. :) I updated that part as well as the information for team operations. Yeah, parking is a smorgasbord due in part to the yet-to-be-completed 350-space parking garage across from Polar Park. The private lots at Madison Place and nearby are curre...

Re: Worcester Red Sox/Polar Park

Thanks for the information. I updated the Wiki with the inside the park usage.

Is the parking operation run by the ball club or someone else?

Re: USCG Helicopters

Thanks. They're still up there as of 9:21PM. I don't know that I'll get any reception due to the distance and that they are are at around 300 feet.

Maybe I'll add them in to the 536HP and give it a try.

USCG Helicopters

I'm watching two Jayhawks on the ADS-B exchange doing a search over the Newburyport area. I don't know if it's a drill or actual event. Are there specific air to air communication frequencies for that? I looked on the Mass Military Wiki page, but since I know nothing about military comms, I couldn't...

Re: 451.3500 P25

Colleges using P25 for public safety is common, but for most other things they use analog or DMR. There's a significant cost difference between DMR and P25. The amateurs I know of who use P25 have access to former public safety radios. Plenty of the Colleges have gone P25 or DMR and they use busines...

Re: 451.3500 P25

Normally I'd be inclined to think that P25 on "business" frequencies is odd, however Brockton has 463.7125 and 4621625 licensed. Those are both analog, but normally you'd look for those to be business only frequencies. Which is to say that some PD might be using 451.3500 as a back up or special even...

Re: ICE Trunk

I moved this to Scanning Miscellaneous, since I think it fits better. The RR data is missing one frequency, but that's not likely your problem. Add 939.1500 with LCN 9 to the frequency list. A couple of things to try. Make sure that you have all of the frequencies entered. Check to make sure you don...

Re: Franklin County FRCOG (transition to CoMIRS)

Thanks again. I'll update the 22/223xx groups with notes that they are probably inactive, at least for now. Speaking of capacity testing, will adding those analog TGs for Franklin County stress Zone 8 capacity? The county codeplug(s) included both analog 800 and CoMIRS zones due to how coverage diff...

They picked a good time (for us) to roll out the new system.

Re: Franklin County FRCOG (transition to CoMIRS)

Thanks. One last question while I work on this. Are the 22xx and 23xx patch TGs all out of service? Yes, the Ops channels are agency agnostic. During the transition the plan is to patch together an Ops channel and a regional tower (Toby, Shelburne, Charlemont, etc.) to maintain interop between upgra...

Re: Franklin County FRCOG (transition to CoMIRS)

Any more updates? We're going to try to tidy the Wiki information up a little bit and want to make sure we have it right. Looks like a couple (scratch that, lots of) patch/TG changes kicked in this morning: Greenfield Police - TG 2579 Turners Falls Fire - TG 2581 [tone tests duplicated on Sim 1] Ora...

Re: Dukes County (MV) New Radio System (Was 156.2175 Part II)

I think that there may well be good reasons for not encrypting most of the channels on MV. Based on past trips there some years back, they hire a lot of temporary help during the summer. They also have some call/volunteer fire fighters and summer only police officers. I suspect that a lot of those f...

"Fluid and dynamic" as the saying goes. Still need to puzzle out the actual layout of things. The paging receivers are according to the license not listed on this frequency. I hadn't heard any transmissions on this one until today. 155.7225 was the one that was testing the other day. 156.2175 alread...

Interesting article. All things considered it was much better than the the typical media article.

So, 155.4375 will now be fire ops?

Almost makes me want to take a ride down that way.
