Re: New City Of Boston 800 Trunk

37296 was active with traffic directly all EDT units to switch to Channel 2. Dispatcher said she was broadcasting on all channels.
Seems to have been related to the Tobin Bridge incident.

Re: New Gillette Trunk Freq

Multiple lots, including on the other side of Route 1. Some of the traffic on the trunk system is interesting, especially when it comes to problems with the Point of Sale system. ;) Don't forget it's all leading up to World Cup. That's the reason for the interior expansion, blowing out some of the w...

Re: New Gillette Trunk Freq

The TG101 traffic also sounds like Gillette as they do tours of the Hall of Fame. Business frequencies have taken on a Wild West flavor over the past few years. So 451.5000 is interesting. On DCC07, TG17, was comms about going into Gate 1 and then to "P4". Clearly Gillette. Then on DCC01, ...

Re: New Gillette Trunk Freq

As you no doubt know, there is a LOT of security there. Plus a lot of cameras in and out of the stadium itself. Back when I could listen I remember one time when "Command" sent a security officer to tell a fan to put out a cigarette. They had picked that up on camera. It's much like a casi...

Re: New Gillette Trunk Freq

That's odd as well as they clearly had enough capacity on either to accommodate all of the users. Also odd is that the TGIDs on System II are a continuation of the TGIDs on System !. Plus there is a parking TGID on System I. Maybe that's the plan, move everything to one system. Or the Goofy two trun...

Re: New Gillette Trunk Freq

Unfortunately (for me) I can no longer receive either of the Gillette systems at my QTH. I may have to take a field trip on a day I'm not tied up with work and sit in one of the lots for a while. It won't surprise me if they are reworking and/or expanding the system to accommodate the new hotel atta...

That's a very nice offer, John. Based on past experience, a tent would be nice to have. I plan to get up there early on Friday morning and leave late. I just have so much junk that's collected over the years. Not all ham, but that's never been an issue at NEAR FEST. If you'd like to pull into the GE...

Re: ICE MotoTRBO TRS Decoding Project - Official Thread

Odd traffic on TG 328. I identified it as a two company in 2019, but right now I'm hearing what sounds like an active shooter drill on it. They don't seem to be using standard ICS callsigns or nomenclature.

I heard it on the Foxborough site, but it's likely on others as well.

More like Butthead. I'm juggling three screens and trying to sort of pay attention to a class I'm taking. I "misclicked" and first edited your response. Then I tried to fix that and just made it worse.

P25 NAC 470. Mix of clear and encrypted traffic. TG: 1. Signal is very good into my QTH, but that doesn't mean all that much as it's VHF. There was traffic regarding a transformer down and waiting for DPW to assess the damage. My guess is security or PD. Nothing at the FCC as far as license. At leas...

Re: 463.2375 CC5

If you set it up as "conventional" and not trunked, you'll see all of the information. Which makes no sense to me, but that's how DSD+ handles it. It seems, although I'm not 100% sure, that the same traffic is carried on both active sites. DSD+ is not showing me Sites, but 464.0375 is chan...

Re: 463.2375 CC5

I misread that as 461.3000. Need new glasses, I'll add that to my to do list. I see Norwood in the wiki as CC10, for 461.3500 which might be why it is weak to Weymouth or both using the same CC Yes in the FCC for Brockton School as well as the SNE FCCDB https://www.scan-ne.net/sne/app.php/nefd https...

I didn't see a license for that frequency, was that on the FCC website?

Anyway, I'll plug that into my DSD+ set up and take a listen.

That was my first thought, so I listened on 463.8875 and 463.8875, but there was no activity on either. The Wiki shows 463.8875 as shared with Emergency Management. On another note, as with the City of Quincy trunk, the two sites are OFT and DSD+ can only decode them in what I call "Conventiona...

I know that Brockton Public Schools uses this frequency, but this is operating as a Cap+ system. Also shows as Site 2 with Neighbor List 1, 3, 4. Maybe reconfigured as networked One Frequency Trunk sites. Talk Groups are 100 and 102. TG 102 has school bus or special needs van traffic. Definitely sha...

I've yet to find a system that lost coverage when they moved to digital. Well, unless you count Providence when they moved from VHF to RISCON, but that's a horse of a different color. Seriously, a lot of police departments south of Boston have transitioned to P25. Most of them were either unhearable...

You're welcome. Let us know if you're consistently able to hear traffic. You didn't mention if you're using the scanner mobile or base station. Keep in mind that if you're using it at a fixed location and not using an external antenna, moving the scanner a few inches can change your reception dramat...

The last I knew, and Bill can probably confirm, every FEMA frequency was encrypted. Also, FEMA will not be on the ground for a minimum of 48 hours and can take up to 96 hours to get to a scene. That's once the President authorizes a state of emergency. MEMA will likely be faster, but what they can p...

It will program and receive fine. The last digit doesn't display, but it will program. The issue you might run into, depending on where you are, is simulcast distortion. All scanners with the exception of the SDS series are susceptible to simulcast distortion on systems like CSP, RISCON, and the upc...
